Beautifully decorated thoughtfully curated space. Towels are plush and the beds are comfy. The kitchen is well equipped and the courtyard/backyard with sauna is lovely. Highly recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chapel Street house! The location was perfect for shops and restaurants and a good home base for wineries in the area. The decor of the home is stunning and the beds were very comfortable. The house is fully equipped for anything you need and was a joy to stay in! We would definitely recommend to everyone!
What a beautiful home!
Comfortable, clean and just a lovely home. It was a wonderful spot for us to celebrate a birthday with our adult children!
Close to everything, super well stocked and felt so welcoming. 5 Star.
The soap is amazing!
Words can barely do justice to the breathtaking oasis of serenity that is this home. As history lovers, my daughter, one of her closest friends and I were smitten from the moment we stepped on to the foyer’s gorgeous brick floor, original to this 1860s cottage. Picton is an important part of Upper Canada’s history, with Loyalist roots dating back to the 1780s.This guesthouse has 3 comfy bedrooms plus a bed in an alcove with blue-and-white toile de jouy curtains that close for privacy, a spa-like bathroom plus another bathroom downstairs with laundry facilities, a stunning dining room with an ornate chandelier, and a luxury kitchen that would make Nigella Lawson smile. In the living room are tartan-covered armchairs, a white highboy dresser topped with a decorative pheasant, and a cream sofa and swivel armchairs (the swivel armchairs also feature on the front porch, facilitating easy conversation). Crucially, the guesthouse has air conditioning—essential during this summer’s brutal heat.Never will I forget lying on the chain-suspended porch swing with my daughter opposite in her armchair, the late Sunday afternoon sun dappled across the front yard’s hydrangea bushes and trellis of greenery, and soothing live music wafting from the eatery next door. Magic!I recommend this dream guesthouse unreservedly. A suggestion for light sleepers: pick the bedroom with green tartan wallpaper because it is furthest from the bells of the church down the street.
