Nice little cottage with charme, lovely decorated and well equipped. It had everything we needed. Short walk to a nice quiet beach, but way back is steep. We felt at home and loved the little treats like fresh flowers.

Nice base for our busy stay. Lovely presentation and comfortable. Access is a bit steep from the parking spot but you can temporarily park down the drive to unload.

We stayed here for 3 nights around a family gathering. Would have loved to have spent more time at the cottage itself as it was a comfortable and pleasing space. The place was very clean and the bed comfortable. Recommended.

Thanks Jenny so lovely to have you stay and thanks for leaving everything so tidy. You are welcome back anytime. Gay
A very peaceful place, with all the mod cons we needed, while keeping its comfortable bach character with a shabby chic feel. Great location, an easy walk to the excellent swimming beach (with a steep climb back for a cardio workout!) and short drive to local shops and cafes.

Come again some time. Gay 😊
Rosie's is every bit as cute and charming as the photos suggest. I loved it so much I ended up extending my stay! The cottage was clean and filled with lots of lovely touches. The setting is beautiful and relaxing - it's surrounded by trees and garden, with views out to Stanmore Bay. Although it sits on the same site as the owners' house, it's very private. The only word of warning I have about the location is that people with mobility issues could find the little walkway to the cottage challenging; it's fine for most people, but some would struggle with it.Host Gay was very pleasant and easy to deal with. Thank you, Gay - I hope to return to Rosie's soon!

My wife and I stayed at Rosie's cottage for the last week of our five weeks in New Zealand. What a perfect finale to a lovely trip! The cottage was great for the two of us. Cozy, fun and well-equipped. Stanmore Beach is great and only a short walk away. But it was mostly the hospitality which Gay and Jon provided us which made our stay so special. For us it was like visiting old friends we had just met. If we get back to New Zealand we will make every effort to return to Rosie's Cottage.

Our stay at this lovely little cottage was the icing on the cake for our wonderful long weekend away! We thoroughly enjoyed the layout and style of this lovely space that had clearly been created with love and care by the hosts. The cottage has kept its history and charm and is surrounded by a cute and cosy garden which makes it feel surprisingly peaceful and private. We had everything provided to us that we could possibly need - and more - including lovely fresh flowers and some treats. Personally I felt that staying here was our special little treat. Thank you!!!!

We had a fantastic stay here for a week. Everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable, I could have been on my own bed. Lovely sitting on the deck, catching the sun and breeze looking at the beautiful ever changing view. A twenty minute walk to New world and coffee. Cooking facilities, washing machine. All new and easy to use. We will definitely be staying here when we are back in the area. Stanmore bay is a treat at any time.
Thank you Gay and Jon, you are the perfect hosts.
