The space was exactly what we needed for our three day weekend! Cute, craftsman style space with private back patio. The pictures undersell this place. I highly recommend this place to stay and the hosts. They were very helpful and courteous. Thanks again!

Mission Hills Cottage

A charming, quiet, well-equipped cottage in a lovely, walkable neighborhood convenient to Mission Hills, Old Town, Hillcrest, Little Italy, Bankers Hill and downtown. Several bus lines are nearby. Balboa Park is easy to reach. Numerous nearby restaurants and coffee shops. Washer/dryer is a definite plus! Lydia is a gracious, accommodating host who will do whatever she can to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

Charming cottage

Quiet and yet in neighborhood close to downtown & Old Town. Ten minutes to the beach. Can walk to great restaurants & bars. Your own private deck & garden. We live in the neighborhood & stayed here while water damage to our house was being fixed, but would be a great place for out of town visitors also.

Lovely!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Lydia's Cottage. The property was extremely clean and had everything I was looking for--great location on a quiet, suburban street, where I felt very safe; great kitchen and bathroom, very updated and stocked with all amenities; the porch in the back is wonderful--a lovely place to relax. Lydia and her family were very welcoming. I will definitely request to stay here again, if it is available on my future trips to San Diego.

This cozy yet spacious one-bedroom cottage is a fully equipped, comfortable home away from home for families with children, couples, or business travelers. We are approximately 10 minutes away from the airport, downtown, major freeways, and the beach. The cottage is situated in the historic Mission Hills (south) neighborhood, which features many historically designated houses, including our main house, built in 1927. Completely rebuilt, modernized, and professionally designed, the cottage features a fully equipped kitchen with a cooktop island, a living room with two futon sofas, a queen-size bedroom, high-speed WiFi, and two TVs. Includes a large, completely secluded porch, perfect for meals or simply enjoying the good San Diego weather. Ideal for short and extended stays.
