MOUNTAIN HOME BUG DISCLAIMER. We do our utmost to control insects. However we are in the mountains so insects can still get into the home despite our best efforts. A few might get in during your stay. Lady bug seasons are common in Asheville. We spray and vacuum but they can still accumulate daily. It is a common occurrence for all homes in this area.

OTHER HOME/LOCATIONS AVAILABLE. We have two 3 bedroom, oceanfront/view condos in Myrtle Beach, and one private home in the Poconos Pennsylvania.
MORE HOME DETAILS This 3,400 sq ft custom private home was built on a rock bluff to take advantage of spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. And best of all, you can walk to the restaurants and shops of charming downtown Burnsville. Numerous sightseeing, cultural, skiing and hiking venues are just a short drive away, including Mt. Mitchell State Park.
At home, huge wrap-around decks -- including a covered porch with TV, grill and dining table -- provide panoramic year-round views. Inside, a wood-burning fireplace centers a vaulted great room with huge floor-to-ceiling windows.
Across the hall, a big den offers a wall-mounted swivel TV, pit group, bumper pool and home office... again with those views! And at the game table in the vestibule, try to focus on your cards with the mountains all around you.
Downstairs, there's a third living area with gas fireplace, and with bookcases stocked with games and puzzles. Outside, there's a hammock and more seating, and fenced area for your dogs. Open the garage and turn the driveway into a recreation area including ping pong, darts and cornhole... again with those views!
Upstairs, the private master suite features a loft looking down on the great room and outside to the mountains.
Nesting Wifi is superlative throughout the property. Three main floor TVs are equipped with soundbars and Alexa.
Asheville is 40 beautiful minutes away. Boone and Blowing Rock are an hour. But once you and your pets get settled in to this special home, you likely won't want to leave.
Less than a mile stroll to the square where you will pick up the Burnsville Connector, a newly identified corridor to traverse the area's highest mountains. It runs 19 miles and connects the Appalachian Trail, the Mountains to Sea Trail and the Black Mountain Crest Trail. Short 30 min drive to Pisgah trails and Black Mountain Crest. 50 min drive to Mount Mitchell trail heads.

The property was perfect for our family get together to celebrate our parent’s 70th birthdays. The house was laid out perfectly for our large group with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The views and the home were beautiful, everything we were hoping it would be. We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone needing space for a large group.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was beautifully furnished and equipped. The kitchen was perfect for our needs, the beds were comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet. There were wonderful spaces to be together and plenty of spaces to enjoy some quiet alone. We loved the screened porch, though it was a little chilly to spend much time out there. We just wish we could have stayed a bit longer to play a little ping pong!

The house was cleaned, the kitchen well equipped and it was nice to be able to walk to town. Lots of televisions which got very little use during our stay. We did some lovely hikes but they all required about 30-40 minutes of driving. Overall a peaceful fun week.

We had a wonderful time at the property. The house was very well-equipped, kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and made for a wonderful long weekend. The home gave us plenty of space (three separate living areas plus garage with ping pong for the kids) and easy access to Burnsville. We enjoyed trips to the local brewery, playground, Linville Caverns, and into Asheville. The home was clean and welcoming and we had a wonderful time. Will definitely be back!

Lindsay, thank you for this awesome and detailed review about the house and your experience. I appreciate having such wonderful guests like you. Please come see us at Grandview Lodge again. Kindest Regards, Cam
Stayed 5 nights and would loved to have stayed 5 more! View is absolutely beautiful, house very well laid out and plenty outdoor spaces to enjoy. (Make sure your group matches up with the layout of stairs between bedrooms & LR/kitchen...worked well for us, but read the listing details to be aware.) Burnsville is very nice town within driving distance to numerous interests/Asheville, but has several dining/shopping/attractions of its own to enjoy. Property Mgr was great & responded promptly to questions. Highly recommend!!

The house is gorgeous and everything you need is provided. It is only 2 minutes from downtown Burnsville and live music. Everything was comfortable and up-to-date. The house is spacious and fit our 12 with room to spare. The host was responsive and kind. Over-all, the house was just as much an attraction as the mountains. It provided plenty of rest from our activities.

Hi Tim- Thank you so much for your awesome review of Grandview Lodge and it's location. The Main St. area in Burnsville is such a fantastic location and I'm glad the house was nice and spacious for you. Thank you for being such great guests, and please come stay with us again. Kindest Regards, Cam
We have been vacationing in Burnsville for the past four years & decided this year to choose a house in town rather than one on a river. The Grandview Lodge was amazing with close proximity to downtown Burnsville & gorgeous mountain views from the decks. We took advantage of the half mile walk to Main Street and enjoyed shopping as well as lunch/dinner at Snap Dragon, Roland’s, Carriage Sundries, Pacifico & Homeplace. We also appreciated the ease of getting to Mount Mitchell State Park, Linville Falls and Roaring Fork Falls. Communication with Cam was smooth, the house was clean & had everything we needed and more. What we loved most is being able to have our beagle Bella join us. Grandview Lodge is extremely pet friendly with a fenced area for potty breaks and gated decks.

Thank you for this beautiful and detailed review. Grandview Lodge is indeed a fabulous home and we appreciate your compliments. Kindest Regards, Cam
This house was very spacious. There was plenty of room for my 2 grown kids and 3 grandkids. The kitchen was fully stocked. My wife especially like the quality of the pots and pans. I liked that it had a Weber gas grill. We were surprised that being less than a mile to town, the amount of wild life we saw. Deer would come by almost daily and one time we saw a doe and 2 fawns. We went to Grandfather mountain and also rented a boat on Lake James. We have been renting homes in the Smokies for 25+ years and thought this was one of the best!!! We would definitely come back.

Hi Bob- I am so happy you were pleased with the house. Thank you for this extensive and beautiful review. "One of the best" is a compliment to be cherished given your experience renting homes. Thank you!! Kindest Regards, Cam
Our group of five 60+ adults absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful and comfortable home. The location was perfect for walking into Burnsville for a yummy meal on a patio, or exploring the shops. We drove nearby each day for outdoor adventures including hiking Mt. Mitchell and lots of waterfalls, e-biking through the mountains, rafting the gorgeous French Broad River, canyoneering, and touring the Biltmore estate. In the evenings we gathered in the very awesome screened in porch to wind down our days. We found everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare meals, and lots of living areas to spread out in for quiet time. We saw deer outside, and couldn’t help but photograph the stunning views of the mountains each morning. Our hostess Camille could not have been more gracious and accommodating. We would highly recommend this home, and hope to find a time to stay there again in the future. Absolutely perfect!

Property was not hard to find. House is large and there was room for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked. There were several fast-food places nearby and we were able to have pizza delivered one night. All in all, it was a great time and a great place to spend family weekend.

Hi Denise- Love love this location for the delicious food that is nearby. One of my favorites is the Appalachian Java Cafe. I am so pleased that you were able to make wonderful memories for your family at the home. It was my pleasure to host you. Best Regards, Cam
We live on the coast and needed a change of view. This well-equipped mountain home gave us plenty of space (three separate sleeping areas) and easy access to a variety of activities. The home was clean and welcoming, and we enjoyed the local shops and restaurants. It's located on the side of a steep hill, so there is limited usable yard space. We brought along our chocolate Labrador, and this made outside trips a little challenging. All and all, we enjoyed the home and would recommend it to others.
