About this property

Cranmore - Central, Quiet, Light filled, Garden

Cranmore, the best place to base yourself in the Blue Mountains. Relax in this circa 1900's classic mountain home, that has been beautifully preserved. The sun drench living room and patio linked with bifold doors look out over a charming, well-manicured garden. Cranmore is only 600m from Echo Point (3 Sisters) and 1k from the town centre, and within 600m of the house are Katoomba's best coffee shop, 2 excellent fine dining restaurants, the RSL and a takeaway. Perfection!

The best part of this house is the living room with bi-fold doors that lead out on to the large sandstone patio. Due to north facing floor-to-ceiling glass, the light streams into the room. So whether it's summer or winter it's a great place to be. The is a gas fire to keep you warm in winter, a library of books and a TV to entertain you.

The two front bedrooms are large with queen beds, and the third bedroom has a single bed, so the house comfortably sleeps 5 people. All beds have warm doonas and electric blankets.

The kitchen is a mix of original features fitted with modern appliances including a dish draw and 6 burner gas stove. the kitchen opens onto the living room and the separate dining room. The dining feels grand with its high ceiling and beautiful wooden furniture.

There is a small sunroom at the front of the house with delightful views over the private front garden, a quiet spot to sit and read a book as well as absorb the warmth of the morning sun. The back garden is a well-manicured and delightful place to wander and be. There is a lawn for the little ones to play, and duct in and out of the hedges area.

There is room for one car in the driveway and plenty of street parking.

It's such a relaxing house with a faultless location, all you need for an ultimate family/friends getaway.

Guest have access to the house and gardens and you be the one people at the property during your stay,
There is no access to the side sunroom and studio in the back garden (used for storage).

l will be on hand to handle your booking and make sure your every need is catered for, they live nearby for any last minute emergencies.

Echo Point (the Three Sisters lookout) is a 10-minute walk and the famous Prince Henry cliff-top walk with stunning views across the Jamison Valley is only a 10-minute stroll away.

Katoomba's best coffee is located 4 blocks away, Cassiopeia, as is the newly renovated RSL club with its highly rated bistro.
Pins on Lurline, one of our best fine dining experiences is 2 blocks away. Lilianfels hotel is just down the road with the fine dining restaurant Darley's and an amazing high tea available.

We always recommend having a car to visit the Blue Mountains. However, due to Cranmore's location, you could visit all of the key sites by walking or on the Red Blue Mountains Explorer Bus(stop 17 is 3 houses away).
Cranmore is approximately 2 km from the Katoomba railway station, and taxis wait on Bathhurst rd, just past the Station Bar. With 4 restaurants, a coffee shop and takeaway within 500m of the house, it has a great location.

Guests have no access to the side sunroom and back garden.
You have access to the rest of the house and garden.
You will be the only ones at the property during your stay.

Katoomba
We very much enjoyed our 4 night stay at Cranmore. Famous views within easy walking distance and many beautiful walks in Katoomba and surrounding towns. The accommodation was a delight - light, comfortable and clean. Michael responded quickly to all our enquiries. We would recommend.

Summer mini break
Family of four, one teen and one tween had a great stay. The house was very clean and a great size with three bedrooms and large backyard. We enjoyed the location and well stocked kitchen. In regards to the area we loved the Mini ha ha waterfall for a swim and cafe Lurline for a burger and chips.
