Communication with the host was great and the balcony view was beautiful.However, our stay was disappointing. One of the rooms had a rotten, water-logged wall, and the main focus from the host seemed to be on insurance rather than guest comfort. The Wi-Fi didn’t work properly, one bedroom had a locked wardrobe (used as a linen cupboard), and laundry powder was advertised but not provided. Although reimbursement was offered for the laundry powder, it wasn’t practical for us to go out and buy some.The downstairs toilet door wouldn’t close and would open on its own, which was very inconvenient with 12 guests. The house also wasn’t cleaned to a high standard — it looked fine at first but clearly needed a deep clean.To top it off, a plumber sent by insurance arrived one hour before checkout asking to enter while we were still having breakfast and packing, which felt rude and poorly timed (he did leave to reschedule).While communication was good and the hosts tried to help, the property did not meet my expectations.
