About this property

Great accommodation for Rotorua Biking groups

The Hub was build mainly from recycled/ re useable building materials. The facility is total open style accommodation ( separate area's but no doors or rooms as such) and with basic facilities.The Hub is set up as a simple yet funky get away from it all fun place to stay along the theme of what is generally known in NZ as a Batch. Its a great spot for bikers or families visiting Rotorua with boats as there is plenty of parking provided
Great outdoor spaces, with large BBQ area and big tables and space to hang out and relax
Feed the free range chicken, pick some fruit from the Orange grove
The Hub sleeps up to 8 people. ( 2 bunk beds, 1 queen, one King and one Ikea bed which can either be used as one single or queen)

Went here with my friends and their nieces, plenty of space, fully equiped for dining outside and having a barbecue, highly recommend this place if you are a big family as there is plenty of beds here, will come back here if I have plans to come back to Rotorua

Overall it is a lovely property and well set up. There were some minor issues regarding cleanliness - unclean bed sheet and airfryer. This would have been regarded as an excellent stay had those minor issues not occurred but definitely regard this as a good place to stay.

All our linen is commercially cleaned, it is possible a small stain of a marker used by kids in bed was not washed out. There is no standard air fryer in this facility, we suspect that this was moved from an other facility on the same location and not returned, as such it was un noticed by our service team. We sincerely apologise for that oversight

We struggled to get a suitable hot cold balance in the showers but as we were only there for a short stay did not contact the host for assistance. The property was generally clean and tidy however better instructions as to where to place rubbish at end of stay would be appreciated as bins were difficult to locate. Ample kitchen equipment and while no full oven, an air fryer is able to be used in its place.

The showers are gas fired and our water supply is via bore pump, high/medium pressure can result in a sensitive setting. Bins for garbage and recycling are placed as you drive out the driveway and you would have driven past these every time you came in and drove out of the property. Instructions for general care and leaving proper are on the pin board inside the kitchen .

Lovely peaceful place

Beautiful garden setting. Delightful owners who were super helpful. Adorable dogs and cat who came to say hello to us. We had a very relaxing week here over Christmas.

Great for MTB riders

There were 4 of us staying in the Hub. The place was very suitable for mountain bike riders. Close enough to Redwoods MTB Park and all facilities worked well. Highly recommended.
