Laid-back 1970s beach shack with the original retro mid-century vibe lovingly retained, but updated to include all the comforts of home.
Go fishing or crabbing in the pristine Gulf St Vincent waters (5 mins walk away), relax on sandy Rogues Point Beach (just down the road) or simply enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch and soak up the ocean view. In winter, gather round the shack's cosy wood-burning heater, or build a bonfire on the beach and gaze at the wheeling stars in the clear dark skies. Please bring your own sheets and towels

Great location, minutes from Ardrossan, close to the sea. House is comfortable and has everything you need. We had a great family Christmas here. Very comfortable beds. Sparrows were a nuisance fighting and destroying each others nests on the verandah at sunup.

The shack was lovely, reminded me of my childhood holidays. It was so quiet and just a stones throw away from the water and Ardrossan for shopping and fishing.

Spacious Accommodation For Family

Very spacious accommodation with lots of great amenities. Nice water views from the dinning room and front deck. Easy 2 minute walk to beach. Very quiet place to unwind & relax. Local community were very friendly. We enjoyed our stay!

Great little spot.

Great place to stay, easy to talk to the owners. Clean and tidy. The only issues is that the phone service is terrible and the internet service is very limited.

Hi Meegan, thanks for your kind words. We are in a fairly remote spot and phone services can be patchy. We often find calling via Messenger or WhatsApp to be more reliable than the phone network. We don’t have Internet at Pearly Shells but we are working on that!

A step back in time

Highly recommend this beautiful beach shack for a relaxing stay in a tranquil beach location. A retro interior with all of the mod cons for comfort and the ultimate relaxation. Great spot for day trips along the Yorke peninsula.

Wasnt told gas bottle for bbq was empty and had to fill myself and get reimbursed which i didnt refill used my own gas....bbq wasnt properly cleaned...previous guest medication from February 2024 still infridge...overall clenliness was ok

Hi David, apologies for the gas bottle we didn’t realise it was empty. We do have instructions included in our house book for guests to swap out the gas bottle locally, and we will reimburse the cost. The BBQ is checked and cleaned after every stay, we will review with the cleaner. We hope you otherwise enjoyed your stay
