About this property

Viva la Sunshine - Pool, View & Rooftop

Summary:

When the owners of this welcoming Sunshine Beach duplex went looking for a name to reflect its universal charm and appeal, they found the perfect moniker in the glorious inspiration that is Mother Nature. Viva la Sunshine, as it’s perfectly known, forms half of a private complex of two nestled within a suburb that both celebrates the beach and showcases the bush. This outlook is evident from the moment you walk through the front door to claim your temporary home away from home.

The Space:

With views to a lush green canopy in every direction, the chic interior design makes artful use of windows, shutters and banks of glass to both frame the living, breathing surrounds and bathe the rooms in warm natural sunlight. The resulting ambience is one of chill and relaxation. The mood is enhanced by a palette that’s anchored in white and cleverly enlivened by warm timbers, vibrant and patterned accents and artworks, and beautiful natural tones and textures.

With three levels of private living, the two bedrooms are positioned apart to ensure plentiful opportunities for rest and retreat. Both open to inviting outdoor spaces – the main to a private balcony complete with sunlounger and the downstairs bedroom to the communal pool zone. The inviting upper level, meanwhile, is ideal for gatherings of family, friends or a combination of the two.

Claiming an open-plan zone that’s equal parts stylish and spacious, this area is centred around a well-provisioned kitchen designed to inspire home chefs to be creative with the area’s bounty of fresh local produce. Their efforts can be served casually at the island bench, at the more formal dining table and chairs or even in the chic and cosy lounge space, which is comfortably furnished for chilling out, conversation or even a night in front of the television.

From here, sliding glass doors open through to an alfresco entertaining zone, furnished with a barbecue, table and chairs that offer an unspoken invitation to summer grilling or winter feasts. Tucked away in the corner is a spiral staircase leading upwards, where the curious can find the property’s real showstopper – a rooftop terrace whose spectacular ocean panorama can be enjoyed over breakfast or brunch under the shade of a sail or evening nibbles at an eight-person table. It’s easy to get lost in the rhythm of the waves and water – until their lullaby draws you streetside for a closer look.

Lying just a few hundred metres away, the beach that gives the suburb its name is one of the coast’s real gems, with smaller crowds but must-have amenities including a patrolled zone and a surf break. Also close by are a surf club, the retailers and restaurants of Sunshine Beach Village and the lush environs of Noosa National Park, where beautiful slices of nature lie in wait behind each new tree trunk.

It’s an alluring combination that means you need not venture far from home, although the tourist hub stretching around Hastings St and Main Beach is only a short distance away, as are the riverside environs of Gympie Terrace. Yet in this little slice of paradise, there’s just one journey that will draw you back time and again - the one from your front door to that amazing rooftop terrace. Here, as the name suggests, it’s all about the glories of Mother Nature being on full display. Enjoy your dose of Viva la Sunshine.

The Neighborhood:

Sunshine Beach is renowned for its sand, surf and the ambience of the Sunshine Beach Village on Duke Street. A 600m stroll from the ‘Private Oasis’ and set beneath a canopy of green trees and pandanus palms, the Sunshine Beach Village features stylish boutiques, restaurants, cafés and bars as well as a hairdresser, surf store, homewares and gift stores, pilates and yoga studio and a boutique bottle shop. Across the road from the Village is the recently renovated award-winning Sunshine Beach Surf Club which offers impressive and uninterrupted ocean views, perfect for spotting the humpback whales passing from June to October.

Noosa is recognised as a UNESCO biosphere reserve, this chic coastal town is surrounded by bay, beach, National Park and river. Visitors to Noosa love to swim at Noosa Main Beach, surf the Noosa World Surfing Reserve, walk the Noosa National Park’s stunning forest and coastal trails or picnic as the sun sets over the hinterland behind the river mouth. Home to iconic Hastings Street, which is famous for its shopping and dining, Noosa’s main beach is lined with restaurants, cafes, bars and an eclectic array of boutiques, homeware stores, galleries, and surf stores.

Noosa Junction or as it is affectionately known by locals, ‘The Junga’ is a buzzing little village just over the hill from Hastings Street, ‘The Junga’ is home to a wonderful world of bars, restaurants, live music, coffee shops, fashion boutiques, laneways, night markets, street art and photo galleries.

With the Noosa River winding through its heart and river hire businesses dotted along its 2km of grassy foreshore, Noosaville is a lively centre of aquatic activities including swimming, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing and jet skiing. Restaurants, cafes and bars on both Gympie Terrace and Thomas Street, many with stunning views of the Noosa River, serve up tastes from around the world as well as contemporary Australian fare that cater to all tastes and budgets. Shopping is also well catered for in Noosaville with an excellent range of boutiques retailing everything from shoes and beachwear to surfboards and clothes for any occasion.

Noosa ferry’s custom-built classic riverboats cruise between Hastings Street, Noosaville and Tewantin (Noosa Marina) with seven stops along the Noosa River with a one-way trip taking about 40 minutes.

Tewantin is a quiet, village-style suburb situated along the Noosa River from Noosaville which features a pedestrian-friendly main street renowned for its striking Poinciana trees showcasing vibrant orange-red flowers during the summer months. Originally established as a timber town and serving as the river port for the Noosa region, Tewantin is home to the vehicular ferry connecting to Noosa’s North Shore and Fraser Island, as well as the Noosa Marina, a hub for riverfront shops and restaurants, and host to weekly craft and produce markets.

Inland from Noosa and popular for day trips is the Hinterland where green valleys are dotted with cafes, galleries, vintage stores, markets and historic pubs. Known for their incredible natural beauty, the Noosa Hinterland is comprised of country towns including Eumundi, Cooroy, Pomona, Kin Kin, Cooran and is also home to the Noosa Everglades. One of only two everglades’ systems on Earth, the Noosa Everglades is a 60km stretch of pristine waters, magnificent flora and fauna and narrow waterways.

Heading south, locals and visitors alike love Peregian Beach for its laidback and chilled beachy vibe and its village square which is home to boutique stores, a host of restaurants, cafes and takeaways set under cool shady trees and its makers’ market held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday morning of each month.
