About this property
Prvt cottage + cabin + pool on quarter acre section (wood burner, pet friendly)
Cosy 1 bed cottage (34sqm) with kitchenette and studio wood burner. Separate cabin (10sqm) with king single bunks. Can sleep up to 5 including separate cabin. Bonus is the pool heated by water reticulating off roof (not useable in winter). Gorgeous wisteria covered pergola over outdoor seating with BBQ. Full use of quarter acre section and pet friendly. Back section so private. Carport. Fruit trees. Dogs, cats and children welcome (please don't leave dogs alone). May be suitable for long stay, eg if you are doing renovations on your own place - please contact to discuss. Walking distance to town (20 mins) or 5 mins from start of Greytown Rail Trail (beautiful 10km walk/cycle return to Woodside station). Washer-dryer, microwave, small fridge and dual hob. No oven (small air fryer). Commando style EV plug (extra fee) BYO cable. Please read list of amenities carefully to make sure it meets your needs. Although cottage+cabin can sleep 5 it is small (34 SQM cottage + 10 SQM cabin) so may feel cramped for a large group of adults, particularly in winter. It is primarily our family weekend escape from Wellington so please forgive the somewhat mismatched nature of the furnishings. Amazing sunsets and star gazing. Please bring your own linen or sleeping bags, and towels. I live in Wellington so providing linen is tricky. If this is too hard for you let me know and we may be able to sort something out for an extra charge.

About the host
Hosted by Lime1969
I live in Wellington. We love Wellington but we love the weather in the Wairarapa! For many years the cottage was only used by us and friends and family - but we felt it was a great shame it was not used more of the year hence listing it for others to enjoy.
Why they chose this property
Our family have enjoyed the Wairarapa for generations - the warm summers, amazing light, beautiful scenery and loads of things to do. Greytown in particular is a very special little town with its boutique shops, cafes. We also love cycling around town, and down the rail trail and over to the river.
What makes this property unique
We built this cottage for ourselves. It is small but perfectly formed for a weekend (or week!) away. A new cottage means it is cozy and warm, but with the charm of the old. The pool gives it an extra dimension in summer. The cottage is primarily set up to suit us and is furnished with a rather eclectic mix of furniture.
