My family had a great time at this cottage, it is located in a private area yet minutes away from restaurants, shopping etc.
Property was well kept and clean and the view was just beautful!!
Would definitely be back again!! :)

Beautiful view
There are good and bad things about this place.
Good things:
1) the deck and dock are lovely and we spent most of our time there and watched a few sunsets with the kids.
2) the bed in the main bedroom is King not queen which was a nice surprise.
3) the view from the living area window and balcony are beautiful.
4) the inside of the cottage was very clean
The Bad:
1) the second bedroom is a bunkey with a separate entrance (not connected to the other living area at all) which would be great if you went with another couple or had a teenage kid. Not great for littles (we ended up sharing a room with our toddler and our older daughter slept on the futon - not ideal for any of us)
2) the sit in bath tub does not work. (You may be able to lock yourself into the tub and try to fill it with the shower above but would take a very long time - knobs/taps, faucet and Jacuzzi functions on the tub do not work)
*the shower works perfectly fine
3) the “meadow” where you park and where the fire is is not inviting and a mess. Did not use this area at all.
Overall we had a good time but we would not rent it again.

We were very unhappy that there were instructions to take our garbage with us when we left. It is not pleasant to drive 100s of miles with a large bag of days old food in the car. We paid 145. for the house cleaning, surely this would include taking away garbage!Secondly, I had a painful fall on the final step to the lower deck area with table and chairs. I now have a large bruise to show for it!! This step is indistinguishable to the deck, as the wood planks are parallel to each other and of course same colour. Some sort of tape or paint along the edge of the step would be a warning to this!
All the improvements to the property are beautiful, but what is not yet done (ie kitchen upgrade and new windows) needs to be done. We were a bit disappointed in the 2nd bedroom being only accessible by an outside staircase. Neither of us wanted to use that room as it was very tiny and claustrophobic. You certainly couldn't leave children in that space on their own. So, my sister and I shared the kingsized bed in the upstairs space. The view cannot be beat and great expense has gone Ito revamping the stairs and decks outside and there was beautiful lighting making the outdoor spaces very inviting. Just wish we'd been told that the 2nd bedroom was very much separated from the vibe going on in the main cottage area. We would recommend the cottage but thought people should be better aware of the bedroom situation. Also the parking area totally lacks any curb appeal with a couple of dilapidated old RVs parked there. Felt kind of sketchy..but it is cottage country!
