The Cottage Keeper - Meredith Lodging

This keeper of a cottage has an exquisite location on a quiet side street minutes on foot to both the Pacific Ocean and Cape Kiwanda, the heart of the action in Pacific City. This wood-lined home has casual charm perfect for sandy feet and a relaxed attitude, but a vaulted ceiling, and historic elegance from the vaulted ceiling. With two bedrooms on the main level and a romantic king bedroom tucked under the planked eaves of the loft, this is a great home to share with friends or family. Outside you’ll find a fire pit surrounded by chairs for roasting marshmallows under the vivid, starry skies of the coast. Climb the dune a few hundred yards from your cottage and you’ll see the hulk of Haystack Rock rising out of the Pacific. Walk down the beach to Cape Kiwanda and join surfers, tide-poolers, dune-climbers, and beach-combers enjoying the Cape. Sample award-winning beers at the Pelican Pub right on the beach, or an upscale cocktail and meal at the Meridian Restaurant. Purchase dory-caught fish at the nearby market, rent surf equipment at Moment Surf, or grab coffee and pastry at Stimulus Coffee + Bakery—it’s all right out your door and mere blocks away. When you’re ready to explore the beauty of the Three Capes Scenic Route or trek up the North Oregon Coast, it’s an easy day trip; Lincoln City, Depoe Bay, and Newport are just as accessible to the south. When you’re ready for relaxed beach time close to everything at Cape Kiwanda, the Cottage Keeper is a keeper!

Family weekend trip

We had a blast! The house was small, but had three bedrooms and was a perfect size for us. It’s within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Clean and easy check in/check out.

Cozy cottage with GREAT location

This adorable, trendy cottage is quaint and had everything we needed. The location is amazing- just steps from the beach, the sand dunes, tide pools and the restaurants and store.

Beautiful house and location !

It was such a fun stay for me and my husband, it’s a quiet town and fun to walk around and relax in. The house was cute, lots of space and beautiful views. The shower was a bit smaller than I had anticipated but other than that it was a perfect spot for our vacation !

Loved the location of the home!! Easy walk to the beach. The outdoor fire pit was great. House was clean and well stocked. Bathroom was a little funky to access only through the bedrooms, worked fine for our one family, but may be awkward with multiple families/friends.

Great place

This is a small property that is very well laid out so it feels very comfortable and not crowded at all. We had 4 adults and 2 kids. We didn't find any coffee, sugar, salt, etc so be sure to bring your own.

Cozy spot by the beach!

What a great little spot to celebrate our daughter's 15th birthday! The house was amazingly clean and well-appointed and there was an easy walk to the beach on a charming path. In addition, the house is only a couple of blocks from The Pelican Pub and other food and shopping. We will be back!
