Very comfortable and spacious. Kids loved the game room! Being on the water in the quiet cove was the best.

Something for everyone! The house is very spacious & with plenty of deck space outside to enjoy the outdoors. The kids really enjoyed the game room & access to the lake. They really made sure we had a comfortable & enjoyable stay. We cant wait to visit again!
Very nice clean property. Owner was very accommodating. Home needed some maintenance attention, but the owner was right on it. Home is starting to show it's age, but still has great bones. Perfect for us.
Nice quiet location. Home furnished with many dishes, utensils and appliances + dishwasher plus garbage disposal. Many TV's, lots of space, plenty of things to entertain guests: pool table, ping-pong, fooze ball, darts, game table. Only negative is no dock.

Great potential
We made the best of it despite several issues. A/C wasn't working, the deck and railing was borderline unsafe, all the outdoor pillows at the firepit were kinda gross. Fridge door broken, all exterior doors were nearly impossible to open and close.... positive, lots of room and plenty of beds. I almost forgot, needs blinds in the bathrooms would definitely make people feel more comfortable getting out of the shower!
One of the bedrooms had hard beds, but the rest of the rooms were great. The house was warm, but the temperature outside was over 100 which counted for air conditioner working hard. Over all we had a great time staying in the house and the owner was easy to get hold of if we needed anything. 4.7 out of 5
My family and I have stayed at many places on monkey island, our favorite vacation spot. This was the first time we came across this property and wanted to take a chance on something new based on the great price for lots of space. It comfortably fit all 14 of us and even accommodated a few family members over for dinner as well. I loved this location as it was still a golf cart drive away from the best attractions (marina, battlefield, Shang ri la) but still felt tucked away. It was a beautiful home with so many entertainment options. We could have stayed at the house all day and had plenty of fun! I can tell the owners thought about the guest experience and the management was incredible too- very responsive and took care of everything we needed. We will definitely be staying here again!

When we got to the house, the keypad did not work on the lockbox so we were unable to get the key. It was late and dark and after a long drive from the airport in Ok City, we were tired. I called the owner and he said he would send someone to fix the problem and that it would be 45 minutes or and hour or so. Not happy. He said he would buy our dinner. He never did reach out to do that. In fact, he never checked back with me to see if we were able to get into the house or if all was ok. Windows are in BAD need of cleaning as well as some of the carpets. The good news was it was a nice house and the game room in the lower level was excellent.

Response from VrboOwner on 21 May 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the home and especially the game room during your stay. We’re sorry for the initial difficulty with the lockbox upon arrival. When notified, the owner responded right away to assist with access to the home and followed up throughout the stay to help ensure everything was going smoothly. We also appreciate your comments regarding the windows and carpets and will review these items with the local team as we continue working to provide a comfortable guest experience for future travelers.
I am the best man for my best friends wedding so I was in charge with finding a place to stay for the bachelor party. I found this place. It is a beautiful place. It looks exactly like the pictures. It is close to the lake for those who want to boat, as well as golf courses. Everything was perfect except for one this. Ants infiltrated the house and spoiled some of our food that we had for breakfast. Now I know that this is so be expected with a lake house. It may be good to get some ant traps if that will help. That was the only thing, everything else was fantastic and I would use this place again
Pictures on the site pretty much over exaggerated the luxury of the unit. Several things needed updating or fixed. The basement shower needs replaced as there is no way to get into the shower without getting sprayed with cold water. The refrigerator door does not close properly without manually flipping the inside seal to the correct position. The ice maker does not work. The downstairs toilet seat is broken and you have to sit side ways on it. The outside fire pit furniture is rotted and one of our gentleman fell to the ground when he sat in it and it collapsed. Bear in mind that for 8 guys on a golf trip, we got along fine as we aren’t picky. But taking wives, this review would be a little more severe.

Family Birthday Retreat
The place has great potential but had some issues. The heat did not work and got chilly at night. The keyless lock did not work for us. It did not look like the place was cleaned very well and had no trash bags. Did not use the dishwasher because I was not sure if it worked and could not find any pods or detergent. The showers were slow draining and low pressure.Enjoyed the quiet environment and fire pit in the back. The game room was okay, the pool table worked well, but there was no foosball to play the foosball table and only found one good ping pong ball. We did not use the game table downstairs because it had something on it that was sticky. We used the table upstairs and it worked for playing games. Even with all the issues we enjoyed our time there and made the best of it.

Memorial weekend
We rented the house last minute. It was the only one available on Monkey Island that allowed pets, and our current lake house is being remodeled, so we were thankful to find it as we were unable to get a pet sitter booked that weekend. The home had adequate space to accommodate many people and is located on a nice quiet cove with lots of trees. Hearing all the birds was very peaceful. The kids really enjoyed the game room! The biggest issue were water leaks in the downstairs bathroom and laundry room. It was a pretty bad leak when the upstairs showers were in use. I would assume that will be repaired immedirstely. There was also no hairdryer anywhere to be found. All in all we had a great time and enjoyed the house. The deck had plenty of seating and we enjoyed sitting out there in the mornings and evenings. Check in and check out were easy and straightforward, once I located which door the keypad was on upon arrival. There’s plenty of room for parking several cars. The local property management company was very responsive.
I met up with three of my friends from college plus our husbands and kids for a weekend reunion. There were 8 adults and 10 teens/preteens. We had a great time.Positives: Plenty of space for everyone to sleep and also to spread out and not feel like we were all on top of each other. The kids enjoyed the game room, the place was pretty clean, all the beds were made up and ready for us, there was enough of all the necessities to get us started and a couple of dollar stores nearby for the things we ended up needing. The kitchen was pretty well equipped.Cons: There are broken closet doors in a couple of the rooms, a broken shower door in the downstairs bathroom, some of the doors don’t lock (most of them have poles stuck in them to prevent entry). Most of the beds are decently comfortable, but the two full size mattresses in the room with six beds was like sleeping on the springs. They need to add some mattress toppers. Our kids also discovered shed snake skins under the couch in the basement game room area. but we didn’t find an actual snake. It seems like many of these concerns have been noted by other people who stayed there before us as well. While we still enjoyed our time together and would probably have stayed there even if we knew these things going in, it would be very helpful to future guests to address these concerns.
