Cute and comfortable but needed a deeper clean

The house was fine for our last minute stay. However, it did feel a little dirty / dusty in places and there was a lot of 'stuff' of the owners around which is fine but unusual these days. Really enjoyed the fire to warm the house in the evening. I had asked if we could check in earlier but no response. The communication was very generic.

Thank you for your review, and we’re glad the house worked out for your last-minute stay! We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the fire in the evening—it’s always nice to have a cozy space to unwind. However, we’re sorry to hear about the cleanliness and the amount of personal items around the property. We strive to create a welcoming and clean environment, so we’ll be sure to look into this and ensure everything is fresh and comfortable for future guests. We also apologize for not responding to your request for an earlier check-in. We understand how important timely communication is, and we’ll work on making our responses more prompt and personalized in the future. We really appreciate your feedback, and we’ll use it to make improvements moving forward. We’d love to have you back for a more seamless experience next time!
