I can't say enough good things about our stay! Property was exactly as described and served our needs perfectly. Owner lives close by and they are amazingly friendly and accommodating. It is definitely off the beaten path but location lake wise is awesome. Definitely will use again.
We enjoyed our stay in this home, it was a great accommodation for our family. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, playing games, relaxing, s’mores at the fire pit, grilling burgers and dogs. Host was quick to respond to our requests, would stay again!!
This place was absolutely wonderful! We caught lots of fish at the dock (crappie, cats)! But, and its a BIG but.....the stairs and steepness to the water is NO JOKE, NOT for the faint of heart.
Great time, great place! Heed the notice about the ramp, for sure not a make or break deal, but it is a good jaunt. We had a great time with lifelong family friends. Played games, cooked out, fished, laughed and loved! Ate at Moonies which is a pretty 10-15 min drive that is a great restaurant/marina/bar. Lots of cool regulars and live band. Both us and our friends want to bring the he kiddos back!!
We brought our boat and had a great time on the lake. the covered slip was excellent, although it's quite the workout going from the dock to the house it is worth the effort! The host was very friendly and even helped me repair my boat trailer and loaned us a couple life jackets when we lost one. Super nice guy. No complaints at all about the house. Comfortable beds and big spacious deck with lots of birds and squirrels to watch. We really enjoyed our stay!
The house was beautiful and the property manager was amazing. We ran out of something and he brought more to us less than 5 minutes later. We enjoyed swimming off the deck at the lake. As listed, the steps to the lake are steep but we knew that in advance. It was a weekend paradise!
We received check-in info from both Evolve and the Guest Contact. They were clear, concise, and appreciated. The property was clean and orderly and the kitchen facilities included everything we expected. We would have appreciated a more detailed description of the access to the boat dock and the steepness of the steps and ramps. We enjoy being on the lake when we’re there, but decided not to use our paddle boards because of the difficulty carrying them down and back up the steep (and slippery) ramp.Though we really enjoyed the porch and its tree-house views, I won’t stay at this property again, mainly because of the tricky access to and from the dock.
Following our phone map took us to a road that was flooded. We ended up having to call the property manager, who was very helpful, but we had no service so we really struggled to figure out how to actually get to the property. Once we were there, we had a lot of fun. The one big issue is, we were not fully stocked with paper towels and trash bags. We were not aware beforehand that we would be hauling trash 10 minutes away to dumpsters. Not having the supplies we needed and then having to load up a car full of trash was frustrating.
Overall It was a Wonderful stay, We enjoyed the long weekend at the property. A few things to Note.
The 2 Queen beds were very squeaky and the Duvet Covers seemed to be dirty and not washed. We were also not instructed to take it off so it could be washed. There were not enough towels provided without having to do lots of laundry. The porch was very dirty - didn't seem to have been cleaned off. The downstairs needed more comfortable seating - The chairs were all hard.
Thank you
