Rustic, mud brick cottage, perfect for a coast & bush experience on the Sapphire Coast of NSW. Spacious & comfortable.Near Mimosa Rocks National Park. Abundant birdlife & wildlife. Short drive to pristine beaches. 15 minute drive to local shops/cafes/hotel in Tathra. Cosy pot-bellied wood heater, Cooler fans x 2. Fin heaters x 2. Two plate induction cooktop. Microwave. Outdoor toilet,Suits physically able travellers. Tank collected rain water. Best to shop for supplies before arrival.
Optus coverage. WIFI available.
Driveway not suitable for caravans.

The property was peaceful and quiet. The bed was super comfortable. We had a warm greeting from the owners who gave us a thorough run-down of everything. The facilities were cozy and rustic. A nice get-away.

Family get away in nature

We loved the gorgeous mud brick cottage Tallarook. It was set in beautiful natural surrounds, amidst much native wildlife and away from more touristy areas, so provided a peaceful get away for our family. We enjoyed some gorgeous hikes in the area and then coming back to the cottage to cook a meal and play some games. An outdoor pit toilet was an adventure that added to the experience. The hosts were fantastic with their communication and the thoughtful touches they left in the cottage. A great get away.

I was born in India, lived in Melbourne and eventually moved to Tanja with my partner Neil, in 1987. We wanted to bring up our two sons in the bush to provide them with the opportunity to experience a rural lifestyle.

I love the beauty of the Bega Valley, the friendly local community, rural lifestyle and the challenges of living in the bush.

The cottage is built from local, natural materials and set in a forest. We strive to have a low environmental impact.
