Beds in the lower level both had dirty slept in sheets, probably an oversight on the cleaners part, but obvious, hair and soiled. Otherwise it was a spectacular stay, loved the pantry and the chef's kitchen, but was unable to get the grill portion of the stove working.
We had a great weekend at Dragonfield House. We were 4 couples. The outdoor pool and patio area with screened in space and hot tub is exceptional. The house is well equipped, the kitchen is well stocked and the common areas for dining and lounging are very comfortable. One of the bedrooms in the basement is a bit small, but otherwise we were quite comfortable with the sleeping arrangements. The main floor bathroom is also a bit tight, but the rest of the house more than made up for it! We would definitely recommend and return.
The home was beautiful, welcoming and filled with eclectic art. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable and the hot tub was delightful after a long day of walking and sightseeing. We found the house a little chilly and could not adjust the thermostat. A quick text to the owner and the problem was resolved in minutes. The fireplace was not working though. It would have been nice to have it on as the weather was cool. The location of the house is a short drive to any of the towns and to Sandbanks Provincial Park. All in all, a wonderful find. Would love to come back in warmer weather so we can use the pool next time!

PEC Wedding Weekend
Overall, the property is good. The best feature is the outdoor pool and screened in porch area. We were staying for a wedding weekend in October so didn't have the opportunity to take full advantage of the outdoor space. Indoor space is good. Lots of amenities. However, indoors could use a refresh, especially upholstery and bedding. Shower curtains were stained. Basement rooms are small and dark. Kitchen is cluttered and floor was dirty. Cleanliness could be improved.

Thank you for your detailed feedback and for staying at Dragonfield House for such a special occasion. I'm glad you enjoyed the outdoor pool and screened porch area, especially in October.
Regarding your comments about the indoor space, I truly appreciate your suggestions. I am continuously working on updates and improvements. Unlike more short term rentals, I pride myself in the fact the kitchen is a chef's delight with multiple pots, pans, small appliances and a fully stocked walk in pantry. As for the basement rooms, we understand they are smaller and darker due to their location, and I do my best to make them as cozy as possible.
I will address the cleanliness issues you mentioned, as I take this seriously. I have already spoken with our cleaning crew to ensure the floors, kitchen, and shower curtains are up to our standards moving forward.
Thank you again for choosing Dragonfield House, and I hope to welcome you back in the future!
