Easy check in/out. Beautiful scenery and location. Ample space for our family gathering.Unfortunately the dryer was broken along with an airconditioner.
A great venue for a family birthday ( 80th) celebration. Easy access to local attractions - Mossman Gorge, Port Douglas for reef cruise and dining, Cairns for Kuranda train and sky rail, Cape Tribulation for magnificent rainforest, etc, etc. These visits were topped off by the facilities of the rental - good pool, bbq, outdoor dining, and general relaxation.
We stayed here for a family holiday with 9 of us. This house was perfect for everyone to have heaps of space for sleeping, chilling and playing. A beautiful quiet location with a lovely view but close to essentials for food shopping. We opted to cook up over eating out and had everything we needed. A short drive to port Douglas and easy to drive from Cairns. Thank you very much for a great stay.
The driveway alone is an adventure in itself. It winds up thru the rainforest to a very secluded home nestled in the forest. The kitchen that opens to the outside is really cool and the pool and patio area are very beautiful.

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in
It would have been excellent except for the disaster on arrival. The house was open, no keys in lock box, beds unmade, messes everywhere including dried vomit, smelly fish guts outside, mosquitoes through open house, dirty dishes, BBQ a mess, etc. There was apparently a mixup with the normally reliable cleaner not aware we were arriving Jan 2 (booked and paid six months ahead) and the owner couldn’t reach her for hours. The owner was apologetic and gave us a one night refund (not including fees) but it doesn’t feel like enough given the extreme disappointment and inconvenience, with our group having to do hours of cleaning to make the place liveable while we prepared a special 80th birthday dinner. The cleaner finally arrived and improved the place but the damage was done after many months of anticipation of this family gathering. And we never did get keys to the place, the previous renter still had them which was a security issue. In spite of the problems, our family rallied and did their best to focus on the many positive aspects of this accommodation. It has beautiful views and rainforest landscaping, a lovely pool and other nice features, and is only a short drive to Mossman Gorge and Port Douglas.
