This custom, light-filled, three-story home awaits your next Pacific City adventure, with loads of room, fun, and a short walk to the beach. Its expansive great room’s high windows bring in loads of ocean light, making a beautiful gathering space for your guests on the second floor. Relax on the plush sofa in front of the TV, grab a snack from the fully equipped kitchen, or just gaze at rejuvenating forest views behind the home. Downstairs, the kids will love their own bunk room for four, their own TV and bath, and a garage full of beach toys, bikes, and a ping-pong table. The upstairs main level features another bunk room and TV, but you’ll want to save the third-floor King suite for yourself! A king bed, TV, a full bath with a soaking tub, and a private balcony await you. The adjoining loft has a futon sofa sleeper and telescope for surveying your surroundings from your sky-high perch.

With woods right behind the home, your guests can explore the forest on designated trails. The Cape Kiwanda beach is a few blocks away—walk to stupendous views of Haystack Rock, tasty brews at the Pelican Pub, upscale dining at The Meridian, and surfing, beachcombing, and fishing at the beach. It’s a terrific location for guests to spread out and do their own thing or hop in the car together for treks to Lincoln City or Tillamook and the beaches and towns of the North Oregon Coast. The house itself is very nice and the location is great. The problem was that it was so dirty! There were small pieces of trash on the floor, lots of stains on the carpets (looked like pet stains but who knows), and the bedspreads had “stuff” on them. We left the floors alone but had to wash the bedding (none white, so not bleachable). They also didn’t provide enough towels for the number of people in our reservation (6) and there were only a few of the “mini” bottles of shampoo and soap. Parking was great. They had a whole closet of toys and games that my kids loved. There are 3 full bathrooms which is wonderful. Ultimately despite the convenience we wouldn’t stay there again because we spent so much time “re-cleaning” and picking things up.

The location of this property in Pacific City is fantastic — close to the beach and everything you’d want to do in the area. Unfortunately, the home itself left a lot to be desired.Upon arrival, the place just didn’t feel clean. There were dishes still in the dishwasher, the patio chairs were ripped, wet, and dirty, and the carpet throughout the house was in poor condition. The whole space had a damp, mildew-like smell and felt moist, which made it uncomfortable. The property is very outdated and could really benefit from some upgrades and a more thorough cleaning crew.What was most frustrating is that we weren’t allowed an early check-in because the host said the home needed extra time to be cleaned — but it was hard to see what, if anything, was actually done before our arrival.Overall, it’s an okay place if you only care about location, but I wouldn’t stay here again due to the lack of cleanliness.
