About this property
Hide and Seek Estate, Kangaroo Valley
Hide and Seek Estate, Kangaroo Valley - 4pm check out Sundays and Public Holidays, except Summer Season
Hide and Seek invites is a country property that offers you peace and calm the minute you drive through the front gates. The estate combines the main Hide and Seek home, which dates back to 1918 and sleeps 6, and the beautiful Nido - a small barn to the rear of the home that can sleep 2 guests with their own private bathroom. Both buildings have been lovingly and expertly restored and modernised. Outside, the inground swimming pool, a hot tub heated by a log fire and generous entertaining space all contribute to resort style experience.
Please note:
- Strictly no parties at this property - please. You will be evicted if this rule is broken.
Where will I be?
Hide and Seek Estate is located in the Upper Kangaroo River area of Kangaroo Valley, in a beautiful secluded location. The house overlooks the stunning, rugged escarpments of Kangaroo Valley and it is only 10 minutes drive to the centre of the village and close to several wedding venues.
Why choose Hide and Seek?
Voted as one of the best renovations in Home Design magazine, Hide and Seek Estate retains original features such as the high ceilings and cornices, but offers all the modern amenities and luxury furnishings for a comfortable stay. Nido uses recycled materials so you feel a connection between indoors and outdoors.
How is the property laid out?
Hide and Seek:
Walk up the steps onto the front verandah and you will enter into the hallway. There are 2 bedrooms to the front of the home (one with a queen bed and one with a bunk bed) and the master bedroom with king bed and ensuite to the side. The beautiful period shared bathroom has a freestanding combined bath/shower and a toilet. There is an open plan kitchen, living and dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, oven, gas cooktop and a coffee machine that takes Nespresso pods. The living area opens onto the rear deck with fabulous wrap around bifolding doors.
Nido:
This 2-level home has a lounge, kitchenette and bathroom with a large shower on the ground floor and a sleeping loft above with a very comfortable king bed.
WiFi, Internet, Netflix, or Pay TV - will I have it?
Complimentary WiFi is available and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email.
Please note that neither The Holidays Collection nor the owner can guarantee 100% that WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If WiFi is important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
The outside area is just stunning, with views to the green paddocks behind and the escarpment to the front. The inground swimming pool and the cedar, log fire heated hot tub are perfect for relaxing. An outside fire pit and under cover dining area, complete with a barbeque, are the ideal spots for your group to relax together.
Nido has a covered outdoor area with seating, a BBQ and views over the stunning escarpment.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
In both houses you will find air conditioning to keep you cool in the summer and a fireplace in the living area to keep you warm in the winter.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Hide and Seek Estate supplies all bed linen, sheets and bath towels.
Parking for cars, etc?
There is ample open air parking on the gravel in front of the house and parking by Nido.
