Cabin was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances. The view from the cabin was beautiful especially with it being peak leaf season. Parking is limited but not to difficult. All in all a great place

From the owner: “Thank you for your review. Those views are what we love the most about sharing our home. I wish we could rectify the parking situation. Unfortunately, living on the side of a mountain close to town and fairly easy to get to has its small inconveniences. Thank you again for staying at Mountain Escape, and please come back again soon.”

Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at Mountain Escape. We're so glad you enjoyed the views and the warmness we try to create within the cabin. We wish we could take credit for the church bells, but you're right, they are a plus. Don't be a stranger - We look forward to hosting you again soon!

Awesome view, clean, quiet and quaint.

Fantastic spot. Motorcycle friendly if steep grades dont bother you, its paved all the way. Wonderful breezes, outstanding views day and night, all the amenities for a vacation for bikers or family. Only drawback was parking.

From the owner: "Thank you for being such wonderful guests Greg! Your communication was great and we appreciate your feedback. We wish we could offer more parking, but being on a mountainside has its limitations at times. We love sharing our cottage at The Overlook with those coming to the area. Please come back and stay with us again soon. Happy riding!"

Cozy Cabin is Awesome!

This cabin has 4 sliding glass doors that provide awesome views of Maggie Valley from every room and a wooden back deck. The whole cabin is well appointed with any item you'd need to make your stay cozy, relaxing, and fun. Owner communication was quick and helpful. Will visit again!

Fantastic views

This home has a fantastic view from the porch. It was nice inside and out. The master bed was comfortable, small bathrooms, but it's great for 2 or 3 people at time. The ride up is a bit scary, couple of pin turns and blind drop. Lucky enough we were there 5 days and only ran into two coming up the mountain once.
Response from VrboOwner on 22 August 2025
Thank you for your nice review. The view is certainly something we love to share with our guests and on the flipside of obtaining a great mountain view you generally have to deal with some close turns or blind drops. In the long run, most guests agree it's worth the drive. Please come back amd stay with us again soon!
