Comfortable stay

We had an easy and comfortable stay. The house and decor were cute and set up well for a trip to enjoy the outdoors in summer or winter. We regularly travel to the area and this was a very convenient home base for us.

Amazing weekend getaway

Overall, our stay was great! Beautiful views from the home. Sitting on the patio was a peaceful pastime of ours. The host was great and timely in getting back to me and checking in. The location is great, with lakes and campgrounds nearby, and the downtown within driving distance. The only issue we ran into was the WiFi. The internet service would cut in and out, which made it difficult to watch TV. Otherwise, we highly recommend.

This was a booking to accommodate a family attending a wedding in the area. It is in a great location, peaceful, beautiful, accessible to all the sites and recreation in the area. The house is very spacious, easily accommodating eight to sleep comfortably. Everything was well organized and thoughtfully labeled. The living room space is great with lots of seating for comfortable get-togethers. The master bedroom is huge with its own in-suite bathroom. Beds were pretty comfortable. Linens were nice. Bath mats could have used a clean or replacement as there was a pervasive sharp mildew smell. The kitchen is large and well appointed. As previous reviewers had mentioned, it would be nice if basics like coffee were available. The main reason for a mixed review was the fact that there was an active mouse problem during our stay. We did not notice that there were numerous mouse droppings everywhere, including kitchen countertops, stove top, window sills, baseboards etc until a couple days in when they were discovered all over trundle bed sheets and we started looking around more closely. Even when cleared up from the dark brown kitchen countertops that had camouflaged their presence, the mouse droppings reappeared the next day. The host was a great communicator and said that they had not realized there was a problem and immediately offered to spray mint repellent, have the cleaning person disinfect the countertops, and have an exterminator come in, which we declined due to wanting to avoid any chemical exposure. Another issue was the Wi-Fi which despite unplugging and replugging as suggested was never fully functional. This could be a great stay with some attention.

We’ve already arranged for a local exterminator to thoroughly inspect and seal the home to prevent any future rodent problems. -We apologize for the mildew smell from the bath mats. We’ll make sure these are replaced or deep-cleaned immediately. -We understand that the lack of certain basics like coffee can be inconvenient. While our listing doesn’t currently offer these, we’ll consider this feedback for future improvements. -The Wi-Fi should have been fully operational during your stay. We’ll look into this issue and ensure the connection is reliable for future guests. Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. Pretty but poor on amenities

The house number was difficult to find. The house very pretty on the inside. There was one standard size bath towel per person, no extras. In previous places we stayed there were paper towel, napkins, some coffee and a small container of milk to get you through the first morning. Not even a half roll of paper towels or any napkins at this place. The water filters need to be changed. There was one tablespoon of coffee in a bag in the cabinet. The fridge was bare. We weren’t expecting much but really! In other countries we used VRBO, there was surprisingly even a bottle of wine and 2 wine glasses on the table for us when we arrived. We were not expecting that here. The sinks in the master are very tall, not too easy to use for someone 5’3” and the hand held shower was mounted even higher. Way out of reach. The rules for this place included a note in the bathrooms to be mindful of your hair might clog the drain and before you leave you are expected to run the dishwasher, and put all the dishes away, pack up the trash and leave in laundry room, do not leave any perishables behind in the fridge. remove the sheets from all the beds you’ve used. The heat was turned off when we got there and there were instructions for turning it on and to turn it down/off before we leave. It sounded like the renter is new at this and hopefully can do some to make the residence more inviting for future guests. We will not be returning there.

As clearly stated in the description, we offer basic amenities such as clean towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, dish liquid, and a first aid kit. Our goal is to provide a cozy, clean place at an extremely competitive rate. However, fully stocked refrigerators and complimentary bottles of wine are not included with this level of accommodation.-Regarding the extra towels, we will ensure the cleaning crew provides additional ones for future guests. As noted in the listing, coffee is not included; what you saw was left by a previous guest and was mistakenly not removed by the cleaning crew.-We are sorry to hear that the sinks in the master bedroom were not to your preference. We assure you that all interior design elements comply with local codes.-As is customary for vacation rentals, guests are kindly requested to assist with a few small tasks upon checkout, such as removing their own trash and loading the dishwasher. This contributes significantly to the efficiency of our professional cleaning process, ensuring the timely preparation of the house for the next guest.We strive to ensure that every guest enjoys the best possible stay, and we eagerly anticipate hosting many more satisfied guests at this property, as evidenced by our other reviews.
