Beautifully restored and upgraded farmhouse, in beautiful country setting.

This stone home is beautifully done inside and out preserving classic hill country charm. A well appointed kitchen with stone sink, upgraded appliances and spacious comfortable dining area, made for memorable meals. Beds were comfortable, and screened windows allowed us to sleep comfortably with plenty of fresh air. The outdoor area was very well maintained with ample seating and loungers in choice of sun or shade, dining table, and wood/charcoal BBQ. We enjoyed being able to take walks on quiet country roads, and drive to small village communities while avoiding busy traffic and discovering interesting landscapes and businesses, including country cafes and restaurants. This home is centrally located for driving trips to most Umbrian attractions and hill towns. Marsciano has a wonderful farmers market featuring good quality produce, cheeses, pastas, and ham. We would definitely return on a future trip.

Beautiful and comfortable villa with great privacy

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa lovingly restored by Mathias and Aurelie. They have preserved the old integrity and style of the house but have also made sure all of the modern and convenient details are present. The thoughtful details of the house make everything quite comfortable and it's easy to feel at home immediately! The pool is magnificent. The garden and landscaping is also very special. It's easy to see that Mathias and Aurelie love the property both inside and outside. We were looking for a villa with complete privacy with no neighbors nearby, and it was perfect. Very nice to meet Mathias who welcomed us with Prosecco and gave us a thorough tour. He was very available throughout our stay to answer any questions. Our best ever VRBO stay. We look forward to returning next year. Thank you Mathias and Aurelie!

Wat een heerlijk huis

Wij hebben genoten! Het begon al met het ontvangst met de plaatselijke host, deze was vrienden en hartelijk. De eigenaren benaderden ons tijdens het verblijf nog of alles naar wens was, dat was het zeker. Alles was perfect. We zijn nog steeds onder de indruk, we hebben zo genoten. De tuin, het zwembad, maar ook het huis zelf, alles is met zoveel smaak ingericht. We hebben een heerlijke week gehad, van alle gemakken voorzien en méér. We weten gewoon niet waar te beginnen met onze bewondering uit te spreken, want alles zo fijn en bijzonder. We hebben heerlijke dagen aan en in het zwembad doorgebracht en genoten van de mooie plekjes in de prachtige tuin. We zullen het missen, het was een vakantie om nooit meer te vergeten. We komen graag een keer terug, en dan het liefste langer.

Toller Ort, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen!

Von der Ankunft und dem Empfang bis hin zur Abreise war die Woche wunderbar. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und wenn etwas war, konnte man ihn zu jeder Zeit kontaktieren! Das Haus und das Grundstück sind sehr gepflegt und mit viel Liebe hergerichtet. Nur empfehlenswert!

Wonderful hidden paradise.

Classical Umbrian stone house with state of the art interior. The house is well maintained, clean and offered a lot of space for our family of five. The large infinity pool is fantastic, very well maintained and clean. House and pool are embedded in a huge natural garden with a breathtaking view. Mathias is a very nice landlord and took excellent care that everything around our stay went smoothly. Also special thanks to Omar who check us in onsite and showed us around.

Maison au calme et bien située (nombreuses possibilités de visites: Pérouse, Spoleto, Gubbio, Orvieto, Assise ...). Piscine très agréable. Un deuxième parasol au bord de la piscine ne serait cependant pas superflu.

A home away from home

Casale le ripe is the ultimate rural house for a visit in the country side. A very beautifull house, isolated in a valley with an absolute silence and very beautifull landscape. The is full of character and sole. Owners restored it, thinking on every detail. Its not luxurius but you can find there everything you need for a perfect stay. The pool is a pearl. One can enjoy it even if water is cold. The yard is very hesutifull, the kitchen well equipped. Mathias and Aurelie responded quickly and efficiently. We were sad to leave and wish to come back. Warmly recomended.

Traumhafte Location UM ZU ENTSCHLEUNIGEN

Tolles Haus, grandioses Schwimmbad, Idylle pur. Ideal für eine Familie oder Freunde die sich gut verstehen und die romantische Stille und Natur lieben. Nichts für Kneipensüchtige oder tanzwütige,agile Nachteulen. Sehr entgegenkommender Vermieter, schönes Ambiente,. alles da was der Hobbykoch benötigt. Der Einkauf und die Vorräte müssen gut und grosszügig geplant sein- man fährt nicht mal gerade eben und holt das vergessene „ Päckchen Butter“. Es lässt sich herrlich entspannt dort leben und relaxen. Danke Mathias für deine Gastfreundschaft.

Paradise Haven of Peace

We did not have the best weather to enjoy the pool ( which has breathtaking views ) but made the most of the surrounding local area, which is totally unspoiled. Plenty to explore not too far away. The garden and grounds make you feel at peace and at one with nature, whilst tended well. The view is also great from the grounds and windows of house.

Splendido casale umbro funzionale e arredato con gusto.

La casa è splendida. Ha una zona giorno calda e funzionale, quella superiore con 2 bagni e 9 posti letto. È immersa nel verde in un meraviglioso panorama tipicamente umbro. Godibile anche d’inverno col riscaldamento e il caminetto. Soggiorno perfetto.

Ein wunderbarer Urlaub

Wir haben den Urlaub abseits allen Trubels sehr genossen. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll renoviert und eingerichtet, sodass wir uns sofort wohlgefühlt haben. Der große Garten und der direkte Zugang zum Fluss haben unseren 3 Jungs großen Freiraum und viel Freiheit zum Spielen gegeben. Die Angelversuche haben ihnen auch viel Spass gemacht, auch wenn sie dieses Mal noch nicht erfolgreich waren.

We came back a second time!

What could express more our satisfaction than our repeated booking one year later? Once again, we have enjoyed the wonderful tranquility in the so tastefully furnished house with its wonderful garden and the romantic barbecue place! Everything went smoothly at the time of booking and the friendly takeover on site. We (Family from Austria with 3 children aged 12, 10, 10) indeed had again a very relaxing time at Casel le Ripe! Wonderful holiday home in Umbria

We had a wonderful week at this lovely home. The owners were very prompt in replying to any enquiries before, during and after the trip; there is a person "on the ground" who was equally accessible who let us in and showed us around. The house is in a great location for touring Umbria, and there is all the shopping you could want in a town 10 minutes drive away. The house was spotlessly clean, we had every possible necessity for our stay, (we were particularly happy with the kitchen set up and the washing machine). The house looks even better in person than it does in the photographs. The bedrooms have window screens so no worry about anything flying in at night. I would wholeheartedly recommend this house for a stay while touring Umbria.

Une semaine de bonheur

Un petit coin de paradis loin de tout. Pour tous ceux qui recherchent un lieu où règne le calme et le silence, une maison admirablement bien rénovée plantée en pleine campagne italienne, idéal pour faire le vide et se ressourcer même si une semaine c'est un peu court, bref que du bonheur. Nous ne manquerons pas de revenir histoire de faire un petit coucou à Matthias et Aurélie qui ont su faire le necessaire pour que tout soit parfais. Maison bien située à environ une demie heure de Perrugia, Orvieto et d'Assisi même si la route pour orvieto assez surprenante avec une bonne dizaine de km sur terre battue (mais cela fait partie du charme). Une mention spéciale également pour le restaurant oasi villagio à Marsciano, nous avons très bien diné, bon service et ce malgré un restaurant bourré, le tout pour un prix vraiment très raisonnable. Oui: la nature environnante, la rivière bruissant en contrebas, ou les bons restaurants sont autant d’ingrédients savoureux pour des vacances qui refont le plein d’énergie! Quant à la route en terre vers Orvieto: vous semblez avoir découvert une route que nous n’avons jamais pratiquée!! Soyez rassurés, pour un nouveau éventuel séjour, qu'il y a bien une route "normale" qui mène à Orvieto! :)... Charming and peaceful

This house has been tastefully renovated and furnished with great care so we felt the charm oft he old house and could use modern facilities including a well equipped kitchen! From the terrace of this charming house we enjoyed the beautiful view in Umbrias nature. Nearly every day we had BBQ at the delightful BBQ-place with a bench under olive-trees in the sunset. At the riverside oft he nearby creek we discovered a lot of romantic spots and we even had a bath in the pools! Although it is very quiet and peaceful it takes you only for about 10 min drive to reach a well-stocked supermarket and other shops. The owner is very helpful and the settlement was quick and correct. We (Family from Austria with 3 children aged 11, 9, 9) indeed had a very relaxing time at Casel le Ripe! Thank you we enjoyed it!

Umbrian vacation

We spent one week in this Amazing house that has everything a family needs. The surrounding area is more than Beautiful. We Went on sightseeing evereyday except for two Days, one day we enjoyed at the house and explored the surrounding area with trail running and one day we Went to Trasimeno lake so the kids could go for a swim since we had a really hot week. The Contact between us and Aurelie and Mathias was excellent. They answered every question asked and they really cared for you and want you to have a great holiday at their casa le ripe. Thanks Mathias and Aurelie for the stay.

Lovely!

We had a wonderful stay of two weeks in this charming rustic but well equipted house. Wild nature surrounds the house. Very quite. The owners are fantastic and are always their to help and inform! The website gives great exceptations but for real is 1000 times better. Location for exploring the great ancient towns of Umbria and Toscany is not perfect. It takes some time to get to the highway... Certainly a place to go back in time!

Our family (with two kids, aged 4 and 7) stayed in this beautiful house in early May, and had a fantastic time. The house is wonderfully renovated and equipped with everything that is needed (including for young children). The location is ideal - it is very quiet and peaceful, with views over the dramatic Umbrian countryside, so much so that we never got round leaving the property for other local attractions! Having lived in Italy since over two years, this was one of the best vacations we have had.

Very calm and nice.

We had a lovely stay in the house with our two small kids of 5 and 7. They loved the outdoors and enjoyed every moment. The view for the house is very beautiful. The house is located in at the boundary of a forest. It is very isolated and calm. It is perfect for those who like the to be in nature. Next to the house is also a mountain bike track for the more adventurous. The old-house is very well renovated and contains all equipment to make you feel at home. The kitchen is well equipped and there are a lot of books and CDs. There is even a nice BBQ outside and lots of outdoor furniture. It is a perfect house for families with small kids who want to leave the daily city stress. Family, Leuven, Belgium.

We discovered Umbria along motorbike touring week ends off Rome. We were touched by the genuine beauty of Umbrian landscapes first. Then, the wealth of Umbrian culture as well as warmth of its people achieved to convince us that this was the place for us.

What makes this property unique

Nested in the heart of a natural reserve, this house is the dream of any nature and calm lover. Its environment is as suited for open air activities such as trekking, mountain biking etc. as it is for cultural visits, due to its ideal distance from a number of great art cities such as Todi, Orvieto, Perugia, Assisi... Tuscany is also very closely, with Montepulciano at only 60 kms, Siena 120 km, and Florence at 180 kms.
