Adorable house that made for the perfect weekend stay with my Mom and two little girls for our girls weekend! Very clean, beautifully and simply decorated, and just a couple of minutes of a drive from downtown. I would highly recommend staying here.
The house was perfect for our getaway to the hill country for our family of five. The kitchen had everything we needed for a nice dinner and the location was great. Nice neighborhood and close to Main Street. Will definitely stay here again.
This home is very clean, in a quiet neighborhood just a few blocks off the main drag, and yet very close to everywhere we wanted to go. We enjoyed a quick 'girl's weekend' and it was perfect.
When we walked in, the house was bright and clean. There are two rooms, both with king sized beds which worked nicely for two couples. We enjoyed the backyard seating in the mornings and at dusk. There is plenty of seating and a large table. The beds were comfortable and got a great night's sleep.

Nice home in peaceful neighborhood close to downtown
We really enjoyed our short stay here. The house was nice and clean, updated, and the beds were SUPER comfortable. The house was a 5 minute (or less) drive from downtown Fredericksburg and HEB, and in a nice older neighbor with wide streets and lots of mature trees. This was a perfect location to check out the town and hit up Enchanted Rock.
Everything was as advertised. Very quiet neighborhood and the house is clean and comfortable. Thank you for providing such a great place for friends to get together.
The house is beautiful. Great location and easy to get around the area. Very quiet neighborhood and no problems at all. The beds were super comfortable and everything we needed for cooking was there. Backyard was really nice to sit in and relax after a day out. Will definitely come back here again.
This rental is nicely remodeled, very clean with good water pressure for the showers, comfortable couch and seating, comfortable beds. There were enough kitchen gear to cook. The backyard was a great place to hang out and chat. The front was neat. The house was very clean. Easy walk to Main st. Lovely walk in the neighborhood.
Wonderful home, we had two Shih Tzus with us and the loved the backyard. I had a surgery on my ankle several weeks before we traveled and still needed a knee scooter, the house was very accessible with the size of the rooms and the wonderful laminate flooring. We would definitely be interested in coming back.
Overall it was a good experience. The cons were a) the toilets could have had a little more attention, b) a broom and dust pan would have been nice to sweep up leaves, c) more garbage bags needed. The pros are it
We had a wonderful weekend staying at Bab Al Shams for a family reunion in Fredericksburg. It was the perfect spot for my wife, my parents, and our niece and nephews. The house is located on a quiet street right in the heart of town, which made it super convenient for all of our activities.
The home itself was newly remodeled, and it was absolutely beautiful! With 3 spacious bedrooms, it was perfect for the 4 adults and 2 kids in our group. Everything was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully designed.
The management company was also a joy to work with—friendly and helpful every step of the way. The only minor downside was that the refrigerator wasn’t hooked up to a water line, so we had to grab ice for our drinks. But that was a small inconvenience in what was otherwise a perfect stay.
Overall, we had an amazing time and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend Bab Al Shams for a 5-star stay!
From the moment we pulled in everything was easy and the property was beautiful. The pictures on VRBO are exactly what the property looked like. We only had one issue, we had come back from a winery and we couldn't unlock the front door. We called and a young man showed up within 5 minutes of us calling. All that was wrong was the lock box needed a new battery. Since he showed up so quickly and could fix it immediately we had no complaints. This house is within walking distance to Main St., Fredericksburg, loved that! We hardly hung out at the house because we were so busy sightseeing. All I can say is I highly recommend this home.
Great place, but Air Conditioning and WiFi needs some help.
I would have given the place 5 stars, 1) but the AC was digital and there were no instructions on how to use the thermostat. We had to call the office and they immediately sent a wonderful young man who helped us, but even he had to figure it out. It was still confusing. 2) The air blew well in the kitchen and the den, but barely blew in the bedrooms. We finally had to close two vents in the kitchen and living room in order to get some air in the master bedroom. That helped. We opened them before we left. 3) The WiFi was horrible. Only one device could be used at a time. One of us had to go into the master bedroom just to get our email to load. Luckily, we stayed busy since we love Fredericksburg, so we didn't use our devices very much. 4) The front door is like a French door- mostly glass- so anyone could just see in through the door at night. That made us uncomfortable. 4) Lastly, this isn't a big one- but, a safety bar should be installed in the master room bathroom. In spite of all of this, we did think the place was clean, attractive, modern, and in a beautiful neighborhood.
