We had a great stay at Michael’s well appointed apartment. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed. We enjoyed the decor and comfort of the dining/living area and the large windows everywhere with lovely views over the local area. Check in and check out were contactless and easy. Michael was available if needed.
Property was excellent, but be aware if you have a large vehicle you need to park in the garage or on the street somewhere. The garage will fit a Kia Carnival but the tailgate will hit the garage door if opened. Communication with the host was good, via text message. They resolved one of the problems and acknowledged the others. The fixed problem was a missing kitchen utensil. The other issues involved the artwork, one of which in the living room is fairly aggressive and I needed to take it down to settle my daughter. For a rental artwork should probably be very neutral. The only other issue was a smell from the kitchen drain - it didn't dissipate with boiling water down the drain. I notified the host. The property is great, but a lot of stairs that aren't pictured, as it's 3 levels - garage ground level, kitchen and living second floor, bathroom and bedrooms 3rd floor. So your bags have to come up to the top floors. And typically with rentals, there's not a lot of room in the bedroom for large suitcases, nor any hooks on the walls for jackets, towels and toiletry bags. Bathrooms are well appointed, and the kitchen is spacious. There's windows all around and it's got great views of the Northland valley.
The property was lovely very clean. It suited our family very well and was ideal for someone with a car as the garage offered secure safe parking. It was located in the heart of Northland. It is a short car trip or bus ride into town but not many would probably do the very steep walk up or down. Town house had all the essentials but there were no extras, it could do with some extra crockery and utensils. Host instructions were very clear but apart from this did not hear from host at all.
