Host was very informative and great communication throughout our stay! Wonderful home that was better than our large family could have hoped for! Breathtaking views on a generously seated porch each morning and only a 15 minute ferry ride to Williamsburg! Highlight of our trip no traffic and ferry rides each day! We hope to stay here again next year on our family’s annual vacation. Fully stocked kitchen and a yard big enough to have a family soccer game. We truly had a wonderful stay! Thank you!

Duke and Dorothy were great hosts and their place was excellent. Close drive to everything and a personal beach if you don't want to venture out. House is very clean and Vrbo description correct. We would go back again.

This was our annual "Sisters Trip". We all had a nice time. There were five of us and the 4 bedrooms worked out well. Dorothy was very helpful in suggusting things to do. We loved shopping in Smithfield (went there 2 of the days). The ferry was also a fun adventure and sitting on the beach of the James River was very relaxing. Over all, we enjoyed our 7 day visit with perfect weather and great views of the James River.

A cozy, clean country home with stunning river views. We loved having access to the riverside beach. It was perfect for finding beautiful shells. While it’s pretty remote, it’s just a short ferry ride to Williamsburg. It was the perfect spot for a girls’ getaway weekend, with all the comforts of home. We would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing escape!

Beautiful Property!

The property is so beautiful. Very peaceful and quiet setting. We enjoyed the private beach and taking in the views of the James River! Great house for kids with plenty of room to run and play. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Holiday Stay

We had three generations meeting at the property and it was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the view of the river and the comfort of the space. Taking the ferry over to Williamsburg and the sites was convenient and easy to use. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thanks for a great trip.

Peaceful retreat

Great property. Plenty of space and enjoyed the area. We enjoyed relaxation and the kids loved the Ferry ride to Williamsburg. Property owners are great with communication and property was even better than the photos. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Lovely stay!

My husband and I loved our stay! The home is clean, cozy, welcoming. We spent many an evening on the porch (Happy Hour!). Dorothy is a lovely and responsive host. We enjoyed our visits to Williamsburg, Jamestown, Smithfield and Chippoke State Park; especially Jamestown Settlement.

Beautiful Home

We had a great stay here! The house was exactly as listed. Every evening the kids swam in the river and we hunted for shells and sharks teeth. The kitchen is well stocked. We would definitely book again!
