Nestled in serene bushland, this Nordic-inspired cabin allows you to enjoy the wild side of Tasmania only moments from Kunanyi/Mount Wellington for mountain biking, trail running, or bushwalking and a 10-minute drive to Hobart CBD. With modern interiors that blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings this peaceful retreat offers a stylish base where you can relax in front of the fireplace, cook meals in the gourmet kitchen and gather in the backyard for a barbeque.
Those seeking a tranquil and immersive nature experience as a couple, a family or a group of friends look no further. Every window in this stunning passive home offers views of the nearby native bushland with flourishing ferns, a seasonal creek and Tasmanian wildlife.

Set across two levels, on the ground floor the living area offers a comfortable lounge and armchairs to cosy up on while watching your favourite shows on the wall-hung TV. A fully-equipped kitchen centres around an oversized island, inviting you to cook up a feast for the group. All your needs are catered for, including a morning coffee pick-me-up, with a Nespresso machine provided. Dine inside by the fireplace or head out to the backyard and fire up the barbeque, with alfresco seating available on the patio. There is also a desk in the dining area perfect for those studying or working remotely.

When it’s time to retire, take your pick from three bedrooms. The first bedroom is located downstairs, set with a king bed. Head upstairs to discover two other bedrooms and a second, comfortably furnished living area—creating separate zones for children and adults. The second bedroom houses a king bed and large walk-in robe, while the third bedroom is set with two bunk beds. Two bathrooms, one on each level, add to your group’s convenience.

Set above Hobart near the base of Kunanyi/ Mount Wellington where snow falls occasionally sprinkle down around the house in the winter months, the residence is perfectly located for hikers and mountain bikers to experience a myriad of bush trails through the Mount Wellington National Park, a magical escape for nature lovers and thrill seekers within Hobart’s attractions only a short breath away.

Set to a panoramic scenes of the Derwent estuary and beyond with picturesque waterfalls cascading along the way, you’ll travel through mossy gullies and beneath tall gums while passing scenic and historic spots such as the Fern Tree Bower and the Wishing Well. Along the way you may happen upon a host of native wildlife including the local pademelons and wallabies or the occasional echidna or wombat.

The Fern Tree Tavern is just down the road with a bar, bistro and café .Cascade Brewery with its breathtaking views over Hobart and the Derwent River, is only a short drive away.

All the attractions of Hobart’s CBD or the seaside town of Kingston are only a 15 minute drive from the front door. On the way from the airport you can stock up at Hill Street Grocers just near the University, it is Tasmania’s iconic happy haven for serious foodies and lovers of fresh produce and gourmet products.
