This house is truly amazing. A slice of Paradise we enjoyed for 5 days. The interior and decore are something to behold and comfort is everwhere. The thoughtful provisions and touches of hospitality are exceptional. But the view! The view is really something for the senses and the soul. From the living room there are layers of green reaching across the terrace, the garden, the valley and the mountains to the ever changing sky. Thankyou Craig and your team. Just perfect.
The house was beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious enough for 3 people to work in at the same time.
The view from the living area was amazing despite the grey weather.
The host and manager were welcoming and friendly.
We would definitely come again regularly if Gisborne wasn't so far from Auckland.
My wife and I have stayed in some very nice accommodations throughout the North and South Islands. We normally stay at places with an ocean or lake view but saw the pictures of this place and were sold. It did not disappoint. Top notch furnishings, amenities, and kitchen. Close enough to town and absolute privacy. You won't do better in Gisborne.
This is our preferred place to stay whenever we are visiting Gisborne. We've stayed here on three seperate occassions now, each of them perfect in every way. We've also had the pleasure of staying in different seasons, the fire during winter keeps the place super warm and cozy. Opening the ranch sliders during the heat of the summer lets the breeze in and creates a wonderful indoor outdoor flow. And the views sitting with a beer in hand looking out over the beautiful Matokitoki Valley are awesome. Honestly, this is such a relaxing place to stay, we never look forward to going home. Craig and his whanau really go over and above to make your stay enjoyable. Thanks Craig and whanau, we really do appreciate you letting us use your awesome property and all the thoughtful things you do to make our stays so special!
Our family were lucky enough to be able to return to this fantastic property for a second holiday. And once again, Craig and his family ensured we were able to turn up and just chill out. This property is so beautiful, during winter the fire keeps the whole house toasty warm, and the wood and everything you need to keep it going is right there for you (no having to trudge out to some shed in the cold to get more wood). The house is very well appointed with everything you might need. Our wider family from Gisborne love it when we stay out here too as there is so much room for everyone to come visit us. And waking up each morning to the view of the Matokitoki Valley cloaked in early morning fog below you with the sun coming up over the hills is absolutely stunning! I can’t recommend this property highly enough, you won’t be disappointed! Thanks Craig for letting us stay again, definitely the first place we check availability for when heading to Gisborne.
