My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The home was large and clean. Equipped with everything we needed. Although we wished we had some a/c some days the nights did cool down and the fans helped. They left us with a helpful guide for the house and places we can go. They also offered a complimentary bottle of wine and a delicious bag of coffee grinds for the coffee maker.
We highly recommend this home for other families to enjoy!
Cheers!
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Deep Cove!
It is a great location in a quiet neighborhood with close proximity to parks, trails, attractions (e.g. Capilano, Grouse Mt, Mt. Seymour, Lynn Creek), shopping, coffee shops and restaurants.
The house was clean and spacious, the backyard had plenty of activities for our kids. The host was kind and accommodating.
It was exactly what we needed for our Vancouver trip. Highly recommended!
We had an amazing stay. The home is a cozy place nestled at the foot of Mt. Seymour. The home afforded us the opportunity to enjoy many wonderful excursions to Deep Cove, the mountains, and other Vancouver tourist attractions. The host was very easy to communicate with and I would highly recommend this home to other travellers.

Excellent retreat (great location) from the crazyness of Vancouver!
From the very beginning, we had excellent and clear communication with the owners. Throughout our stay, the owners checked-in with us to ensure that we were comfortable. There were a couple tiny mishaps, including a fussy shower-head, but again the owners fixed the problem immediately (which was much appreciated).
Overall, our biggest pleasures were:
1) Back yard which the kids used extensively (especially the trampoline, the soccer balls, and wading pool)
2) Open space in the kitchen and living room (when inside, we spent the majority of our time in this lovely space)
3) Deck - we loved how it was connected to the living space - excellent space for enjoying BC wine!
4) Use of BBQ - great for preparing veggie and meaty meals!
5) Five bedrooms: perfect for the kids and I used one space for work
6) Trails behind the house - we explored several of the trails by foot and within seconds we were surrounded by amazing trees
7) Proximity to Deep Cove village - we brought the kids swimming, explored restaurants and enjoyed the coffee shops
8) Walking distance to golf course: twice we golfed early morning and were back home before 10am!
9) Neighbourhood: everyone was so welcoming, helpful, and quiet
10) Use of life jackets: these came in handy when we went kayaking
A few things to keep in mind:
1) There is no air conditioning, which is common in Vancouver homes: we were visiting during a hot spell and it was well over 30 degrees (90 degrees fahrenheit) inside. The two fans helped but the kids were very hot!
2) Basic kitchen amenities are provided: a couple items were missing (e.g. pan for cooking) and some were needing to be replaced :-)
3) The house was tidy, but could use a deeper clean before renting out (it was well lived in, so this could be considered a charm)
4) If you need to explore the West side of Vancouver (e.g. Kits beach), please remember that you are about a 1 hour drive away. This property if best if you want to explore the North Shore
We were grateful for how welcoming and inviting the family was. We would recommend this place right away to any family who wants a comfortable and pleasant stay, in a location that cannot be matched!
Thank you!!!

We are a family of 5, a couple with 3 daughters who have lived in the home since we bought it in 2006. We love our neighborhood as we do a lot of mountain biking, skiing, hiking and going to the rivers and ocean which is all very close by! We are an active family and spend much of our time outdoors. My husband also plays hockey, I play hockey and soccer and our kids are involved in gymnastics. We ski and mountain bike together as a family and have done some sea kayaking trips as well as surfing and camping trips.
We also love our street as we have many long time friendly neighbors. Our area is quiet and beautiful.
Why they chose this property
Our home is in a very quiet and beautiful location which is close to so many outdoor activities and the forest and Mt. Seymour Provincial Park but also the ocean in Deep Cove, and is only a 25 minute drive to downtown Vancouver. What makes this property unique
Trampoline, cul-de-sac, 5 bedrooms, quiet road, beautiful neighborhood, close to everything Vancouver has to offer.
