The views are fantastic and the home is very comfortable. The only reason for 4 stars is the kitchen has only basic dishware and it would not be possible to cook an entire meal there.

Wonderful weekend in North County

We truly had a retreat in Cardiff! The house is just beautiful, so clean, all modern and comfortable furnishings and appliances. Beds are very comfortable, bedding and towels are top notch and plentiful. The deck is beautiful to watch the sunset. Location is excellent for exploring laid-back North county surf towns. We will be back!

Thelma and Louise trip

We were two 83 year old widows who drove down from eastern Washington. We loved the place, location and restaurants in the area. The view is wonderful and the place is very quiet. Our only wish was that there was some Windex and a mop to clean the floor. That was probably because we were there for two weeks.We definitely would return.

Lovely with exception

This is a fantastic location and clean and comfortable. Would recommend having sharp knives for when you bbq,blender for smoothies and fun sunset drinks, and better coffee maker with larger coffee cups. Loved the double oven for cooking our turkey and dressing.

Great location

Great stay for a family of 4. Loved the ping pong table. The only hiccup was that we were delayed check-in by a couple of hours due to property still needing to be cleaned. Fortunately, my dad lives a block away, so we waited at his house. Pull out sofa was great for a teenage boy wanting extra space, not wanting to share a room with his teen sister.

Great Place

The Cardiff Retreat is very much as advertised. Everything was new or recently updated. The barbecue and view from the porch make for a lovely dinner venue. The game room in the garage was a great play area for my grandson who visited. The unit is .5 miles up hill from the beach so not walkable (at least not for us) but an easy drive. The benefits of being up the hill are the view and breeze. We will rent this place again.

We liked this little place. It is in a good location (We used to live across the intersection, so we know the area)Usually one would only worry about noise from UPSTAIRS neighbors, but in this case the downstairs neighbors were playing loud thumping music until 12:30 am 2 of the 3 nights we were there. There was a loud dog barking to add to the problem.Not mentioned in reviews so maybe a new issue.Not what you need for vacation, especially at that price.

Unplugging here was the best.

What a lovely weekend that was! My life and mind needed to slow down and Cardiff was the place to do it. This property was perfect.The view was killer! Getting to the beach is always a treat for us. Falling asleep and waking up to a panoramic view of the coastline was an added bonus. The biggest risk of not sleeping at home is missing my bed but thankfully the bed was super comfy! There were chairs available to bring down to the beach along with a cooler. This rental has many thoughtful conveniences. My inner child got all excited when I saw they also have a game room in the garage with a 1980’s video console. It was so awesome to play Pac-Man and Centipede again. (No quarters necessary)The restaurants and bars are just a short walk down the hill. We really didn’t have to worry about groceries or anything, there were great breakfast spots and a brewery close by. It was a very quiet neighborhood, btw. I didn’t even need my earplugs!Can’t wait to get back!!
