Loved staying at Riverside, great RV and Shannon was great. Beautiful area and kayaking on the river was a beautiful treat. Got pictures of a Bald Eagle abd a gokden Eagle.
Location! Location! Location!
There aren't many rentals available in this area so I felt lucky to find this. It's an older RV with aging seating - not good for folks like me with back issues. The unit wasn't properly cleaned between rentals - I wasn't willing to use the fridge due to the amount of food debris, and all glass and mirrored surfaces were dirty.
There was a little confusion on check in but was the only a glitch in the trip
Kayaks are a must ! The river is amazing and we could have spent all day out there taking in the scenery.Eagles have a nest there and was awesome to see. The trailer was great and all we needed. Everything we could have needed was there , even coffee pods and lots of salmon to be caught in the river Restaurants very close by and a great little bakery.
I didn’t actually have any contact with the property manager due to being offsite pretty much all day and gone early in the morning. Check in was super easy and just showed up at the site. I didn’t get to explore the property due to the fire ban and restrictions on accessing the woods. View just down the road from the site was spectacular and would recommend driving down before the end of your stay. RV was clean. A bit tight, but that is to be expected. Suited my own needs quite well. If there hadn’t been a fire ban, I think I would have gotten much more out of the stay.
To be honest, we had a little trouble finding the camper. I think that was VRBO's fault though, and the fact that our US sat/nav wasn't working in Canada. But we did find it. The camper is very nice and clean, with everything that we needed for a pleasant stay. It was very nice to find that the owner of the property lives right next door, and when we needed a reboot of our breakers, he was right there to fix it immediately. All in all, a very pleasant experience!! Wish it had been the summer so we could have used those kayaks I read about, but 40 degrees F was a bit cold for my blood.
