About this property

Great Smoky Mountain Getaway in the Sky

Come take in the Smokies and Western NC for all they have to offer at our warm and inviting log cabin in Maggie Valley.

The cabin rests at roughly 3,700 feet above sea level and offers wonderful views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Situated in Maggie Valley, NC you’ll have no problem finding ways to enjoy all that Western NC has to offer, whether it’s hiking and outdoor adventure, driving the Parkway, enjoying shopping and food in the Valley and surrounding towns, or just taking in the peace and relaxation of sitting out on the porch looking out at the mountains. There’s plenty to enjoy.

We offer plenty of popular amenities including high speed internet, a fully equipped and spacious kitchen, provided linens, TVs with Roku, Weber gas grill, and some family board/card games for your enjoyment.

Upstairs (Main) Level: Master BR (King) w/ Master Bath — Half Bath — Large Open Kitchen-Dining-Living area — Full length porch with outdoor table and chairs and a 3 burner gas grill

Downstairs Level: 2 BR (One King, One Double) each with sliding glass door access to lower deck — Full Bath — Garage

Other Notes:

* The road to the cabin is paved, albeit narrow and steep in some sections with some switchbacks. While it's possible to ride a motorcycle to the cabin, we’d advise against trailering one.

** As the road to the cabin is steep in sections, we advise anyone renting between December and February to purchase Trip Insurance. Even with 4x4 or AWD, severe winter weather can make the roads hard to navigate.

*** Guests are responsible for disposing of their trash at the nearby Haywood County Convenience Center.

Great location, spacious home with plenty of room for several people. Clean home with comfortable beds and other furnishings. Fully functional kitchen and grill out on the deck. My only issue was that the final drive was a little steep, but put the truck in low and it was no issue. Close to everything!

Vacation at 10 Stallion Ridge Maggie Valley

This property and house was amazing for us. Huge rooms and plenty of space indoors with large upper/main level porch. The tranquility of this place was exactly what we were looking for and the views off this porch must be the best on the mountain, amazing!

Fantastic Family Thanksgiving!

Our family sets aside the Thanksgiving Holiday each year to reconnect and take a break from our hectic lives. This year was among the best! The cabin is clean, well laid out, and well supplied.

Well-kept home with Beautiful Views

This was our second time renting this home. This home has everything you will need for your stay. Home is very clean and roomy. The master bedroom is upstairs and the other 2 bedrooms are downstairs with their own bath. Plenty of privacy for families or couples coming to visit. Has 2 porches a lower and upper level. The pictures do not do justice to this home's views. At night you can see the lights of Maggie Valley. We will continue to rent this home if available on our future trips to Maggie Valley.

Fantastic, well-decorated cabin with great views!

This cabin was amazing - we've stayed in many rental properties before, including several mountain cabins, but this property was among my favorite. The previous reviewer was right - the pictures don't do it justice. The cabin has been very well-maintained and was immaculately clean. It was very nicely decorated with quality furnishings all throughout, with a charming, rustic decor. The views and large covered back porch were great, and the porch enabled us to enjoy the beautiful scenery even when it was raining. The heart of Maggie Valley is just a few minutes away down the mountain, Waynesville is just a few miles away, where there is some great BBQ, and Asheville is an easy 30-35 minute drive. Frankie's Trattoria in Maggie Valley is very good, and we attended St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church while we were there, which is a beautiful little mountain church. We'd love to come back for another visit, and hopefully soon!

There are not enough stars on the page to give this piece of property as this law cabin is absolutely spectacular by every measure. From the comfortable cabin to the amazing amenities to go with it along with an absolutely Gregorian host who’s concerned for you would be as if it was his own family. The sensational views and the surrounding areas are spectacular as well as the features at Cataloochee Ranch, as well as other Must see and must visit venues includingPiscah Inn restaurant minus the fog!!!!! We love this cabin and certainly love Maggie Valley along with his great host and will be coming back for many years to come. And the view from the deck is worth the visit… Thank you and we will see you next year

Best View in Maggie Valley

This was our 2nd stay at this cabin We are four friends over age 75. We love the view clear across the valley to the mountains from sunrise to sunset. Porch is our favorite spot for a good book or just to enjoy God’s beautiful creation. Cabin is high on the mountain, but road is easy to travel. Close enough to Waynesville for shopping & dining. Very enjoyable peak week adventure.

A picture is worth 1,000 words and 10 Stars…

Our stay in this magnificent cabin cannot truly be put into words but the photo will speak volumes. The spacious family room with the warmth and glow of the fireplace to the incredible meals we shared prepared in this amazing kitchen to the comfort of the bedding that awarded us sleep you dream of having at night. The double decks and mountain views Morning and Night were simply spectacular especially the color changes on the mountain side day by day. This cabin is centrally located to Dining, Shops and trips along the Blue Ridge Parkway and a 35 minute ride to Asheville to view the Biltmore which hi it’s on right is a trip to take if it happens to be on your bucket list. The owners were incredibly engaging, informative, and so user-friendly and easy to communicate with you, I truly wish everybody that owns VRBO could take a page out of their playbook. We truly look forward to coming back here next year for another amazing anniversary celebration to a place that generally replicates complete euphoria for us.

Rustic Elegance With Pet Hair

Lovely well-designed home, tastefully furnished, very comfortable, terrific view from balcony. The only complaint we had was the white pet hair. The ad said NO PETS ALLOWED which sold us. Unfortunately, there was white pet hair all over the living room sofas, dining room chairs, kitchen rug. We could not sit on the sofas because of the pet odor and white hairs. Even covering the sofas with king size sheets did not mask the odor. Quite disappointing, and for that reason we would never rent this VRBO again.

Amazing vacation

The cabin was wonderful. Very spacious, clean and had all of the necessities for our 10 day stay. The view was gorgeous. The only negative was the steep roads but it was well worth the “white knuckles” when you got there !!! That’s how it is when you’re on top of a mountain !! Thank you for a wonderful experience !!

Mountain Getaway

This property has a beautiful view of the mountains and is beautifully decorated. There was plenty of space for us and our family who visited. Unfortunately, we had an infestation of carpenter ants while we were there, which was quite unpleasant. One whole day was spent sweeping and vacuuming up eggs and ants. The owner was quick to communicate with us and sent a pest contractor right away who retreated the house inside and out. This quickly resolved the issue. We will stay at this property again.

Family celebrating a graduation

The home is beautiful, clean and well appointed. We loved the swing on the deck and the wind chimes. Everything worked properly and we were very pleased to have been there. The beds were oh so comfortable after a long day. The view is lovely even at night, so all in all I highly recommend this home in this most beautiful mountain location.

Very peaceful setting

I rated online listening only 4 stars because it was even better than online representation. We had 2 adults and 2 teens and it suited us perfectly. Very peaceful/beautiful setting which is exactly what the doctor ordered. Used it as base to commute to Ashville for day trip.

Great holiday at the cabin

AMAZING Property

All I can say is WOW what a beautiful place. Everything was perfect and as described. Very clean with a very homey atmosphere. Everything you needed and more in the kitchen along with plenty of extra blankets, linens basically you name it it was provided. The drive up to the cabin was an adventure but not as bad as we thought it would be. We loved that it was located near quaint little gift shops, lots of nice restaurants and places to go and explore. Communication with the owners was very pleasant and they responded quickly with answers to our questions. We definitely will be staying here again if we travel through the area. I would highly recommend staying here but a bit of a warning, be prepared not to want to leave when it is time to go home. Giving a five star rating ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, I would give it more if I could.

Beautiful, clean home that sits high atop the mountain

This home was just as pictured, and cleaned well. The owners communicated well, and if we head back to Maggie Valley, we would absolutely consider this home again. It is a very steep drive up the mountain, so definitely note that. I am not a timid driver, but thought of a couple people I know that would have really been terrified to make the drive up and down the mountain. It's a gorgeous view and WORTH the drive, for sure! The owners even checked in mid-trip to make sure all was well. I appreciated that so much! This home had everything you need. There are some cute shops nearby and in Waynesville's downtown. It's centrally located and not far from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Asheville and more. I'll stop by the Old Gray Mare and pick up a Pecan Cake for sure, if I visit again. The porch is absolutely wonderful with rocking chairs, glider chairs and a swing. We loved the view and the quiet of the area. You cannot see neighbors, and don't hear much. The house is well insulated and just lovely. Thank you for providing a beautiful home in a beautiful location for our vacation!

Absolutely beautiful!

We have a great time in this wonderful cabin. It was perfect. The drive up the mountain was beautiful and very easy to get to the property. The driveway has ample parking and easy access into the home. It was decorated perfectly! The kitchen was well stocked with very nice dishes etc. They even had cinnamon for french toast and a k-pod coffee maker! The view was absolutely amazing. We could have stayed forever. It was so quiet and peaceful at the cabin but not far from places to go. We went in July and it was cool in the mornings and spring-like weather during the day. The porch rockers and swing were the best! Very nice place. I will definitely stay again one day!

My husband & I purchased our cabin in Maggie Valley fifteen years ago to enjoy with our children and grandchildren. My husband was from Western NC, and its mountains have always held a special place in our hearts.

Why they chose this property

The location, quaintness, and proximity to area attractions is what prompted us to purchase our cabin in Maggie Valley. The views just add that much more beauty to it. Carefully decorated in rustic charm our cabin offers you a true taste of a mountain getaway.

What makes this property unique

The cabin rests at 3700 feet above sea level on 1.5 acres, and offers great views with the added bonus of a bit of privacy and tranquility.
