The property was very comfortable and lovely, the beds were amazing. The location was awesome, nice and flat for walking around the lake and the botanical gardens. A nice secured yard for the pooch. I would recommend it for your next stay. The host was amazing to get along with and contactable.
Lovely house, well appointed with lots of kitchen equipment, toiletries, washer and dryer. Very nice walk in shower with large showerhead. Split system in each bedroom was great. Nice bedding and blankets. Just a few doors down from the lake which gave us a beautiful walk with our dog. Secure garden and ample street parking right outside the property. We really enjoyed our stay.
To say we were devastated when we walked in is an understatement, never have I been to a property so uncleaned. These cleaners I wouldn't let near my chook shed, no pride no clue on what is expected of a cleaner. Other guests that leave with a dishwasher full of dirty dishes for the next guests, along with a washing machine in a state I've never seen in my life, your supposed to treat other people's investment with respect. The owner was fantastic about our experience and I do know he's sincerely apologetic about what we encountered. At least the next guests should walk in and not have a melt down as ive cleaned everything from windowsills to decob-webbing the front porch and yes that discusting washing machine, YOUR WELCOME .The property it self is a lovely cossy house in a beautiful location and the beds are comfortable. If it was clean id come back.
Bins in the kitchen were not emptied from previous guests
Kitchen floor was not mopped
Glass in windows ans doors was dirty
Bathroom door covered in dust and dirt
No towel in the toilet sink
While the location itself was ideal, close to the lake, easily accessible, and near the main district, our experience was unfortunately far from satisfactory.Upon arrival, there was confusion surrounding access to the property. Once we finally entered, we were dismayed to find that the house had not been cleaned following the departure of previous guests. Beds were unmade, the kitchen and bathroom were messy, and it was clear the property was not guest-ready. We were forced to leave the property while a cleaner was brought in.Even after cleaning, the standards were inadequate. The toilet remained dirty, several surfaces were visibly untouched, and we were uncertain whether the floors were mopped or if the quilt covers had been changed. This was unacceptable, particularly given the initial delay.Additionally, we were not informed that the property included a secondary dwelling on-site that would be occupied by other guests during our stay. Had this dual occupancy arrangement been disclosed upfront, we would not have proceeded with the booking. This experience significantly impacted our short visit. We love Ballarat and were looking forward to a relaxing break, but this situation was disappointing and fell short of the standards we expect when booking through Stayz.
The house is warm and the beds are very comfortable. It needs more "home away from home" resources: fly spray, paper towel, baking paper, board games. It's functional but more like a motel.
