Great experience from the first contact with Geraldine - she clearly enjoys being a welcoming host and that impression was reinforced by the picturesque garden and homely interior of the property, plus the generous and unexpected supplies. Not quite off the grid as you still have wifi and close to Rotorua.

We had an excellent stay at the Shula’s boat house. Very comfortable bed. Great hot tub. And home baked goods for breakfast was amazing. Thank you so much

Very nice place to stay for the weekend. Owner has set the bach up very nicely, it had everything we needed. Lovely view of the lake and great to hear the bellbirds singing away.

Our family of four were absolutely delighted with our accommodation at The Doll’s House in February. It was walking distance to our other sister’s home in Ngongotaha, to fishing lakes, local shops & cafes, and only a short driving distance to all the major Rotorua tourist attractions. The manager Glendyr had ensured the property was sparkling clean when we arrived and stocked with everything we would need for our 10 day vacation. There was no need to worry about the weather forecast as there was a great games room to utilise, heaps of board games and air conditioning. The comfortable beds and luxurious bed linen ensured we slept soundly. Thank you Glendyr for your wonderful warm hospitality. We look forward to staying in The Doll’s House again.
