Great communication before and during, the welcome pack was a lovely touch and the views are amazing never got bored of them! We will definitely be back! Thank you!
Our stay at Helen’s was perfect (even with a little bit of rain). The property is immaculate and close to all the local amenities. We would revisit in a heartbeat.
Walkers Boat House is an excellent property sitting directly on lakeside with stunning views across Windermere and to the fells beyond.A quality restoration of the original boat house it has everything needed, it is very well finished and spotlessly clean.
As advertised this property is extremely clean, comfortable and updated. Was a perfect location and retreat in the region being close to towns and restaurants but nice and quiet on the lake. Helen the owner also close by and very helpful & communicative. We had a great stay and would come back for sure.

Thank you again. Helen
Best self catering we've ever stayed in. Phenomenal position, with a balcony boasting views over the Lake.
Generous host providing fresh flowers, wine, chocolates , fruit teas and coffee pods(in addition to basics of milk, bread and butter)
Highly recommended
Fantastic property in a lovely location. We walked to Bowness every day.Better than I think the listing captured - nice set up with bedrooms and bathroom coming off the long enterance hallway. Big living area and balcony and nice kitchen.More classic than ultra modern looking but we really liked that - and I think that's one reason it was better than we imagined.Exactly what we needed and great host communication
This was one of the most relaxing placed I stayed with my family. The host was super nice and the place and items provided with the property were really good. Also, the host recommendations for restaurants were on point. Great food and services on all of them. Definitely will return.

Great location for walking, sailing and relaxing.
Fantastic view, clean and well appointed.
Lots to see and do: 5 to 10 minute walk into Bowness with plenty of shops, restaurants and activities; right by the water and easy to hire canoes or go sailing. Plenty of walks to suit all abilities. Ferry across to the other side of the lake is fun with lovely cafe and scenic lakeside path.

Walkers Boathouse, Lake Windermere
We loved the location of the Boathouse, the view from the balcony is amazing rain or shine! No detail is overlooked by the owner resulting in a very comfortable stay. We stayed with a toddler and newborn so it all being on 1 level was brilliant. The house is well equipped making it feel like a real home from home. We would definitely come back and would reccomend to friends
The property had everything needed for a lovely stay. The welcome pack was very generous and much appreciated. My granddaughter loved the small mugs ( probably meant for espresso) which she said were for kids. If the weather had been better we would have spent more time on the balcony as the view was lovely.

Just perfect!
Walkers Boathouse truly is luxurious in every way. The views from the lounge balcony are stunning. Sadly it wasn't warm enough for us to sit out with a glass of wine!
Facilities and cleanliness are of a very high standard. The welcome pack is a nice touch too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely return.

About the host
Hosted by Helen Farthing
Hello, I'm Helen, I deal with all inquiries and I keep the Boathouse to a high standard. I am continually tweaking the property to make sure your stay is comfortable and memorable. I moved to the Lake District in 1989 from Lincolnshire and I still marvel at the views. I enjoy being outside and make use of the lake and mountains.
Why they chose this property
The Boat House was originally the home for a gentleman's launch.
We have lovingly restored the Boat House and created luxury, all on one level accommodation to the Lake District in a truly unique and memorable home. Just as the original builders intended.
I hope you enjoy the Boat House and the Lake District as much as my family and I do. They really are a special place to make memories.
What makes this property unique
From your balcony, you'll have incredible 180-degree views over Lake Windermere and the mountains beyond.
Perched on the edge of Lake Windermere, you're a stones throw from sailing, kayak, and bike rentals. Walks, climbing, hiking, and all the adventures the Lake district has to offer are easily accessible.
The property is quiet and perfect for those with children or elderly relatives. There are no stairs, only one small step to enter the property.
