Villa Lamayer- Stunning Ocean Views, Very Spacious & Private Pool

Villa Lamayer is beautifully designed with loads of space and the owners have furnished it very comfortably. From the large car port you enter the main door which gives access to a mezzanine area with a smart TV and sofa seating for 4 (sofa can be made into a bed). Wide stairs lead down to an extensive sitting/dining room with wall-to-wall sliding windows opening on to the south-facing terrace, BBQ area, and terrace pool (which at one end has an offset area designed for non-swimmers or young children, approx 4m x 2m and 70cms deep). The kitchen is self-contained with a breakfast table and adjacent laundry with washer/dryer. A guest WC is next door. Upstairs three spacious bedrooms have gorgeous ocean views, one en-suite and two with balconies. The shower room is stylish and large. This is a holiday home with luxury that will appeal to all ages.

We swam every day after a day of hiking or exploring. It would have been extra nice if the pool was heated! Our host was wonderful and very responsive. We loved the views of the ocean and enjoyed watching the sun set each night.

Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und die Außenanlage gut gepflegt. Der Pool hat einen extra Bereich mit 65cm Wasserhöhe für Kinder und ist sehr gut gepflegt. Der Kontakt zu Lauri war sehr freundlich.

Sehr geräumiges, gepflegtes Haus

Das Haus bietet wirklich viel Platz und ist sehr gepflegt eingerichtet (ein paar Dekogegenstände würden es etwas persönlicher machen, aber das ist Geschmackssache). Poolhandtücher wurden bereitgestellt. Tolle, unverbaute Aussicht auf das Meer. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig in einem reinen Wohngebiet. Die Einfahrt ist etwas problematisch angelegt, zumal die Zufahrtsstraße extrem steil und schmal ist - ein paar Schritte unterhalb des Hauses gibt es aber eine Art Parkbucht, wir haben diese benutzt anstatt des Carports. Ein Mietwagen ist unbedingt notwendig, Restaurants und der nächste große Supermarkt sind in Calheta, was doch ein ganzes Stück entfernt ist. Gleich in der Nähe gibt es aber ein paar nette Snackbars und einen verblüffend gut sortierten Getränkeladen.

Excellent location

Excellent location. Central to all our needs. Villa is very well equipped, there was nothing that we didn’t need. Grand children spent hours in the pool as they loved it so much. The local bars offered traditional meals at very reasonable prices and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We would stay in the villa again

Eine wirklich schöne Villa

Der Kontakt zu Lauri war sehr freundlich, er war stets hilfsbereit. Die Villa ist sehr groß und schön geschnitten. Sie besteht aus drei Geschossen. Der Eingang liegt auf der zweiten Ebene, auf der sich ein Zweisitzer und ein Sessel sowie der Fernseher befinden. Von dort aus führen jeweils breite Treppen ins Obergeschoss zu den drei Schlafzimmern und zwei Bädern und ins Untergeschoss, zum Wohnzimmer, der Küche und einem Gäste-WC. Die Küche ist riesig und sehr gut ausgestattet (Espressomaschine, kleine Kaffeemaschine, Mixer, Toaster, Wasserkocher, Mikrowelle, Spülmaschine, Pürierstab, Gasherd, Backofen, ausreichend Geschirr, Gläser usw.) An die Küche grenzt ein Hauswirtschaftsraum in dem eine große Kühl-/Gefrierkombination, die Waschmaschine und ein Trockner untergebracht sind . Auch Putzmaterial und ein Bügelbrett/-eisen sind dort vorhanden. Im Wohnzimmer steht ein großer Esstisch und eine Couchgarnitur mit Blick auf die Terrasse, von der aus man einen herrlichen Blick aufs Meer hat. Der Pool ist sauber und schön groß. An ihn grenzt ein kleiner Kinderpool (70 cm tief) an. Bei unserem Aufenthalt waren vier sehr bequeme Liegen aufgestellt. Auch ein Tisch mit 6 Stühlen für ein Frühstück im Freien oder einen entspannten Grillabend sind vorhanden. Zu erwähnen ist noch, dass es ausreichend Bade- und Pooltücher gab. Der Föhn hat ausreichend Power. Bis auf das Wetter können wir nichts Negatives berichten. Die Villa ist nicht mehr die neuste, dafür aber sehr gepflegt. Ich persönlich würde allerdings mit ein paar Accessoires für mehr Gemütlichkeit sorgen. Aber das ist Geschmackssache. Schräg gegenüber wohnt übrigens eine nette ältere Dame, die uns immer herzlich gegrüßt und uns mit Eiern und Kartoffeln überrascht hat. Wie würden wiederkommen falls Madeira noch mal auf dem Plan steht.
