Hidden from the main road and with lovely roof top views across neighbouring gardens and Hob Moor, this really is a hidden gem.. 11 steps to entrance.
All on the First Floor:

Living area: 35" Freeview TV, DVD Player

Kitchen area: Electric Oven, Gas Hob, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher
Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed, 35" Freeview TV
Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds
Bathroom: Bath, Cubicle Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Welcome pack. . Lawned courtyard with patio and BBQ (shared). Bike store. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. The Nest is a clever conversion above the garaging for the main house, which is home to the helpful owner. The Nest is directly opposite The Knavesmire which is home to the famous York Races, and with no need for a car this property makes the perfect place to stay for those interested in all things racing. The historic city centre is less than a mile away and with great bus links and cycle paths The Nest is ideally located.
This first floor apartment has been refurbished in 2018, and offers comfortable, modern accommodation with guests comfort in mind and yet retains a homely feel. The communal patio area benefits from the late afternoon sun and is the perfect location to relax and unwind after a day exploring York and its many attractions. The double and twin bedrooms are flooded with light from Velux windows and offer the flexibility of a family holiday or friends wishing to enjoy York races and the vibrant night life on offer in the city centre. The main living space is open plan and provides a great social space to gather. The kitchen is equipped with all the accessories needed to cook for family and friends.
York has so much to offer from shopping to visiting the world famous York Minster and Jorvic Centre, and with two theatres to choose from and Snickleways to explore, not to mention a festival and events programme that runs through the year, a visit to The Nest is an absolute must. This property has great links to the main cycle routes in and around York and offers bike storage. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Location is great - ideal for the racecourse, easy to walk into the city centre (30 mins approx, less of you walk quicker), or use any of the many service buses that pass down Tadcaster rd. Instructions given to find and access were very clear and easy to follow. The Nest was clean and comfortable, with all amenities provided. The kitchen in particular is a good size and well equipped.

We had a lovely week in The Nest.
We had a lovely week in The Nest. An amazing position and great area for York and beyond. The cottage is comfortable and cosy. The stairs are quite steep and could have done with another hand rail all the way up as there is a turn at the top which my elderly mother found difficult to manoeuvre. However this would not stop us returning. Kitchen had all we needed.Highly recommend.
