Absolutely beautiful little cottage in a super location. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Brillinat hosts, who were always on hand if we needed anything. The perfect place to relax and escape for a few days. Thank you

Thank you for the great review Vicky, we’re delighted that you enjoyed your stay.
My friend and I stayed in the hideaway and it was just perfect for what we needed. A weekend out in nature, with added bonus of a lovely accommodation, beautiful surrounds on the farm, some very funny and cheeky goats and a hot tub (booked separately) to boot!

shortcomings
Communication good. Pretty setting, tasteful decor, comfortable bed. Towelling bath robes would have been nice for use in the hot tub. Simple guidelines for oven use would have been helpful - I took food to heat in the oven, oven and fan on but took about an hour and a half to heat the food up, even then not really hot! I have a a wood burner at home so I'm used to them, good job I took extra kindling and firelighters - logs provided kept going out, ?damp wood, wished I'd taken my own kiln dried logs, which is environmentally what should have been provided anyway. Toilet door not very private. I had to change the hot tub booking to our day of arrival, therefore already 2 hrs less of the allocated time (2-10pm). I thought the hot tub would have been lit so that it was ready for use and just for us to maintain it but it hadn't and took most of the evening going backwards and forwards across the farmyard and a lot of coaxing - again damp wood- to even get it warm so for £80 extra it really wasn't worth it. so much for a relaxing time - cold food and having to coax wood burners into life! To be honest I feel pretty ripped off and it was supposed to be a treat for my partners 70th birthday. Our holiday in Greece for a week in October cost about the same.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review Judith and we are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations.
As you know we didn’t actually meet you in person but we did meet your partner shortly after he arrived. He was very pleasant and told us how much he liked all the facilities.
He had just lit the hot tub and was fully aware that it was going to take a couple of hours to reach temperature.
We wished him a good stay and told him if you needed anything at all to just let us know - as was also written on your welcome letter.
We are available by text to all our guests during their stay and in person to reach out at any time as we take great pride in ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The oven is simple to use and we leave easy to find instruction manuals for all appliances for if guests should need them.
All our logs are kiln dried and full instructions for lighting the wood burner are provided in the welcome pack.
The toilet door is a fully closing wooden door. All of our prior guests have been happy with the privacy that it provides.
We made ourselves fully available during your stay both in person and by phone for text/calls. We are sorry that you didn’t reach out to us during your stay, we would have been very happy to help.

We moved to Damgate Farm from the city 15 years ago. We absolutely love living in the countryside and being the custodians of such an amazing place. It’s our pleasure to share this very special space with our guests.
