Apartment in the heart of Paris located in a haven of peace. This 50m2 apartment will make your stay very pleasant: with its two bedrooms, each arranged at one end of the main room, which accommodates a large sofa designed by Piero Lissoni, a Portuguese console from the 19th century, a family Murano glass chandelier and an Eames table and chairs. The shelves are full of art books and works by contemporary artists decorate the walls. The bedrooms, one with double bed and one with single bed, are also very nicely decorated. There is the possibility of sleeping an additional person on the living room sofa. An American kitchen with a large wooden top and a large shower room complete the picture. This bright three-room apartment is located between Mouffetard and La Butte aux Cailles in the 13th arrondissement. You will find shops nearby: bakeries, supermarkets, fruit and vegetables, wine shop as well as restaurants and cafes and a very nice public garden 2 steps away.

Elizabeth's moniker "haven of peace" for her apartment rings very true. Impeccably decorated, supremely comfy, and a serene place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of Paris after long days of exploring the city. Close to many restaurants, shops, and the metro, my only hope is we are able to stay here again next time we return to Paris! Thank you again, for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Dear Alyssa, Thank you so much for your lovely message. I’m truly happy that the apartment felt like a peaceful retreat for you after your days exploring Paris. It means a lot to know that you enjoyed the atmosphere, the comfort, and the neighborhood.
It was a pleasure to host you, and you would be most welcome back anytime. I would be delighted to welcome you again on your next visit to Paris. Best Elizabeth
We enjoyed the apartment, especially the floor plan with much space between the bedrooms. No noisy neighbors is another plus. The decor is exceptional. One suggestion is to add a full-length mirror.

Hello Laura, thank you, for your nice appréciation, there was a mirror but it got broken twice so I figured the big one in the lobby would be enough. But I guess I could give it one more try! Enjoy your Automne ! And come back whenever you want!
Apartment is spacious and filled with light. Overlooks a garden. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils and serving dishes. Comfortably appointed bedroom. Host was readily available to assist with any problems. Highly recommend.

Located in the 13th arrondissement and a short walk to the 5th arrondissement, this haven in Paris provides a peaceful and pleasant residence while taking in all that Paris offers. Our host communicated promptly and resolved any questions we had. We could walk a short distance to two Metro stations (6 & 7) as well as the charming Rue Mouteffard, a narrow winding street that Ernest Hemingway mentioned in his Paris memoir, « A Moveable Feast ». It was a perfect place to stay with a remarkable host. I hope to come back.

Hello Douglas, Thank you so much for your thoughtful message. It was truly a pleasure to host you. I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed both the apartment and the neighborhood. The 13th arrondissement, so close to the 5th, is indeed a wonderful place to experience Paris — calm and residential, yet just steps away from lively streets like Rue Mouffetard.
I’m glad the location made it easy for you to explore the city and that everything went smoothly during your stay. You would be most welcome back anytime. I hope Paris will bring you back soon!
Had a wonderful stay with my son. Very centrally located to everything you want to visit. Great restaurants and stores within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this for your trip to Paris!!!
This was the perfect accommodation for our short trip to Paris. The place is close to everything you need from metro to supermarkets etc. and the train station (gate du nord was only 30 minutes away. The host was very nice so communication was easy and quick. Big recommendation!
My daughter, my two grandchildren, and I thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at this funky little apartment. It was perfect for four people and our hostess was kind and attentive. And what pretty little courtyards around the building. The location was in close proximity to métro stations so all sites in Paris were easy to reach. Highly recommended.

We had a great say in Paris. The apartment was in a safe and convenient location, close to two metro stops. The apartment is cozy and charming. It's not a luxury stay, but it's a great price for a stay in Paris and worked well for my family. Our host was very communicative and clear, and we enjoyed our stay!
My family so enjoyed our stay here…on a beautiful courtyard (complete with magpie nest!) and close to so many metro stations. Elizabeth was super helpful and easy to get in touch with. She even did a little research for us, as we are vegan, to help find places around her that were friendly to our dietary needs.
10/10, would definitely come back!

Lovely flat in the heart of Paris, the furniture is a little worn and heating system didn’t seem to work or maybe I didn’t know how to operate it. Fresh white towels designated for guest would be nice as I wasn’t sure if we were using the owners personal towels. I am new to shared space rentals so not sure if bringing your own towels is protocol?

Hello Kévin,
Heating does work and the instruction for use are on the plateforme. I am Quick to reply to messages as I want my guests to have a good experience, I would have been happy to help you with the heating. We do prepare towels for thé guests, they are folded on the chair in the bathroom.
Some people do bring their own towel sometimes.
Elizabeth is a very charming hostess, who welcomed us enthusiastically and warmly. Wonderful apartment with very interesting art and library in a great location: brasserie, cafe, bistro, boulanger, and supermarché all just around the corner at walking distance. Metro station only 10 minutes walk away. The only negative is that since Paris was so warm at the end of June that the bedrooms were too warm at night. A fan for each bedroom would have helped. But overall an excellent experience.

Dear Simon
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really glad you enjoyed the apartment, its location, and the atmosphere. I'm sorry to hear the bedrooms felt too warm during your stay—just to mention, we do have fans available for each room, and I would have been happy to provide them if you'd let me know. Always feel free to reach out with any needs during your visit. I'm so pleased you had an excellent experience overall, and I hope to welcome you again in the future!

Elizabeth gave photo-instructions on check in since we arrived late. The flat was very family friendly, for my husband and I and two teenagers. The extensive collection of art books was wonderful to explore every morning and evening as we relaxed! Several grocery stores and restaurants are walking distance, with easy access to the subway or bus stops too. Everything we needed was there, pots, pans, French press, toaster, fridge. We slept with the windows open nightly to enjoy the cool breeze and morning sounds of birds in the garden. Elizabeth responded to all my questions in a timely fashion, well above all expectations.
We loved the flat, building and location. We walked to Catacombs in just 20 minutes. 3 minute walk from flat there is grocery store, bakery, restaurant. Paris center is pretty big, so you can’t be close to everything, but this area is nicely quiet and safe. Flat was VERY clean when we arrived.
Elizabeth is very nice, responsive, and helpful. We stayed during French strikes and Elizabeth helped us to check if the museums were open. Many thanks!
The accommodation is centrally located for visiting cultural institutions and interesting neighborhoods in the center of Paris.
The facilities in the apartment are decent, but not complete. There is no possibility to hang coats. The kitchen has some unusable, but also some correct pans available for induction cooking. We did not cook, because the area has excellent dining options. We did not miss the fact that there was no TV, but we missed the opportunity to listen to music (radio).
We found the double bed a bit narrow for what we are used to, but it was comfortable. Our 11-year-old granddaughter was happy with the loft bed.
All in all, we thought it was a great place for our 5-day stay. We enjoyed the peace, quietness and the green nature.

Thank you for your comments, just a remark about the unusable pans, you just have to put the flat conductor pan as written in my Household sheet :)
Happy you enjoyed the area and Paris

My 16 year old granddaughter and I stayed here for four nights in July. As the owner describes the flat is in a tranquil setting on the first floor overlooking an enclosed garden. The layout was ideal for us with the large sitting/ dining/kitchen area separating the two bedrooms. Everywhere was full of natural light (and birdsong!).
The Metro station - Les Gobelins - is five minutes walk away with the main attractions in the centre of Paris no more than fifteen minutes travel. The Gare du Nord is twenty minutes - change at the Gare de l’Est.
Many shops, bars and restaurants are within a five minute radius and we ate out at very reasonable prices.
Everyone we encountered in the same block were very friendly and welcoming. Our hostess could not have been more helpful. I lost her email with the entry details so she patiently talked us through getting access and then texted us several times to check that all was well.
Our visit was to introduce Nancy to the Paris Art Galleries and the vast array of books on art in the flat provided valuable backup. Overall everything was just as we wanted.

Oh my my!! I haven't replied to you. Thank you so much for your appreciation. Hope all is well for you and your family! ELizabeth
I stayed at Elizabeth's apartment for 3 weeks. She does live in the apartment when it's not rented out, so the space is not all yours, but she did empty a few shelves in the closet and cupboards for me and left room in the fridge, so I was able to store most of my things. (I would have also liked some space in the coat closet though.)
The apartment is quiet and serene. It was nice to return to it after the hustle and bustle of the city. There is a lovely local park with a rose garden just around the corner where I liked to relax or eat a sandwich from the boulangerie.
It is fairly easy to get where you want to go in Paris by taking the Metro line that leaves from the nearby Gobelins station, but you need to plan about 25 minutes door-to-door to get anywhere in central Paris.
The kitchen is well equipped and the apartment is comfortable. My only complaint is that the bedding was too hot for summertime and it would have been nice to have some lighter covers in the apartment.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again. Elizabeth responded quickly to my messages whenever I had a question or concern.

Thank you for your detailed comments, I did since bought some summer duvet, it is true that I use duvet in winter and just the duvet cover in summer. But now we have the third option with a lighter duvet! Thank you
The apartment is within a gated community, a well maintained building and gardens, with a lift. Elizabeth’s apartment is exactly as described: spacious, open plan with a well equipped kitchen. The apartment is close to the metro and buses as are shops and restaurants. From the very beginning Elizabeth responded quickly to messages sent to her and she gave a detailed account of directions to the apartment and how to access it once at the gate.
