We keep returning and loving this place more and more. The location is perfect to explore-close enough to get to anywhere in south cornwall but away from towns and roads to feel calm and secluded. Everything was great and the hospitality is second to none

Absolutely stunning country cottage.
Absolutely stunning country cottage. Has everything you need, very well equipped and every detail has been throughly thought about. There’s so much space and the open fire was amazing! We stayed for a week (family of 4) and we thoroughly enjoyed it - we didn’t want to leave! Wonderful location, off the beaten track and so peaceful. We will definitely be returning.
The cottage was perfect for our needs. Quiet, but only 3 minutes from the main road, well equipped and lovely details made it feel special. Comfy beds, powerful shower, big bath, and a large lounge and super kitchen. It wanted for nothing.
We were extremely lucky with both this property and the weather. The property was perfect for us the indoor and outdoor spaces were all well used. The location of Bruce’s cottage was perfect for getting around west Cornwall.
Owners are friendly and kind and we were adopted by the dogs who greeted us each time we came home. A lovely peaceful place to stay.

Lovely cottage.
Lovely cottage. New, very clean & well furnished. Just off the A30 on a small but easily accessed lane. There is absolutely no noise from the A30. Nice walks directly from cottage. Easy access to a number of good places such as St Michael's Mount & the Botallack tin mine heritage coast. Great place to stay.

We spent Christmas 2019 at Bruce's cottage and it totally exceeded our expectations.
We spent Christmas 2019 at Bruce's cottage and it totally exceeded our expectations. It was so warm and homely and comfortable with everything we could possibly need.
When we arrived the fires (there are two!) were already packed ready to be lit (we saved one for Christmas morning, opening presents in front of it was like a postcard setting!) with an incredible Cornish Cream Tea hamper with freshly baked scones to welcome us.
Everything was spotless, really comfortable beds, the kitchen is wonderful to cook and socialise in, with fantastic features, an old range and exposed beams, but really modern appliances which made our stay so easy. Don't let the word cottage fool you, it is really spacious, 3 bathrooms, a playroom as well as the main areas.
Sam and her family were so accommodating, and they live close in case you need anything and there is ample parking. It's far away from the main road to be very secluded and quiet, but you are a 5 minute drive from 3 major supermarkets (and the sea!)
I cannot recommend Bruce's cottage enough, we were really sad to leave and are already planning our return, and we would love to spend Christmas there again.

Fantastic cottage base for a big family (or multiple family) holiday. Exactly what you imagine of a Cornish country cottage; cosy fireplaces, gorgeous stonework, with the added bonus of rather plentiful space.

Bruce's cottage did not disappoint.
Bruce's cottage did not disappoint. Everything was perfect. I only marked it lower for value for money because of us going in peak time and everything is expensive. It is a short drive to any shops which wasn't an issue for us but it might be for others.

Bruces's Cottage is a very comfortable and well equipped home in a lovely setting.
Bruces's Cottage is a very comfortable and well equipped home in a lovely setting. Fresh fruit, flowers and a cream tea made for a lovely welcome after our journey from Suffolk.
It is very quiet and peaceful despite being only a few hundred yards from the A30, no traffic noise at all.
There is access to countryside footpaths right from the end of the driveway. Trencrom Hill is a must to visit for the views. We also enjoyed a walk to Carbis Bay and St Ives returning by train to St Erth.
Bruce's cottage is an ideal base to explore West Cornwall from and we would highly recommend a stay here

What a lovely cottage.
What a lovely cottage. Tucked right away in a really quiet spot it had everything we needed and more. The friendly owners are on site if we needed them but left us to enjoy our holiday. The cottage was bigger than I expected with so much room plus really well equipped. Location was perfect with the unexpected bonus of always being against the traffic jams heading east as all the other holidaymakers headed west for the day. Definitely recommend
