About this property

Spacious villa in beautiful surroundings

Atalaia Nascente, our spacious holiday home and domain of 9 hectares, is located in the hills of São Teotónio, a village in the South West of the Alentejo, about half an hour's drive from one of the most beautiful and unspoilt coasts in Europe, the Costa Vicentina.
Our spacious home with all comfort and 3 bedrooms accommodates up to 6 people. Next there is a separate studio with 4 additional beds. In total we can house 10 guests. All together there are 3 bathrooms.
Hereby we have also our beautiful and spacious privat swimming pool. All this in stunning rural settings.
In 2023 we built a brand new gently sloping private access road!
If you enjoy a holiday with every comfort in beautiful nature, then you are in the right place! We rent for at least a week and offer a discount in case of more weeks.

Atalaia

A tranquil villa set among the hills at the end of track. The perfect place for peace and quiet, yet close enough to the Atlantic coast to enjoy the beaches and ocean. The house was well equipped and furnished, the pool a delight. We loved it.

What a beautiful place

We had wonderful silent star nights and relaxing days at this amazing place. OK, bumpy road... So what. The house is super equipped, best ever. Great pool, super beds, and noooo noo noise. Thanks JP, we will be back for sure

If you think you'll need it, you won't!

i am struggling to find the right words to describe this extremely well equipped, luxuriously comfortable and lovingly presented home from home. As someone who always holidays in self catering properties, this was way above any I have stayed in.Every cupboard in the kitchen was packed full of equipment and included 2 large built in fridges. There were out buildings that had everything you may need for those day trips and beach days, windbreakers, cool box and ice blocks to keep it cold, beach chairs etc. There are numerous inflatables for the children to enjoy the pool and a further freezer in the laundry room. The laundry room was fully stocked with washing powders and softners and the cinema room with its 75 inch TV was unbelievable - would be good if the surround sound was set up to further enhance the experience. Please do not be put off by other comments regarding the access road. Yes it is a dirt track and it is 4.5km to get to the house, but it is not that bad, its is a solid lane that has a gentle incline to the house, daunting when you first use it but the more you use it the more it becomes the norm. It certainly did not put us off going anywhere day or night, having stayed in Tuscany a couple of times believe me this road is not that bad!The lntermarch in Sao Teotonio is recommended and so cheap, please visit the market, also in the town, i, fresh fish available at prices you will not believe - do have a coffee & cake in the square too. thoroughly recommended

Adembenemend plekje

We waren voor de 2e keer naar Atalaia Nascente. De omgeving, het huis, prive-zwembad en vooral de rust zijn onbeschrijfelijk. Het huis is van echt alle gemakken voorzien. Sfeervol ingericht en de buitenruimte is fantastisch. Wakker worden met kikker-krekelgeluiden en het ruisen van de wind door de bomen is het recept om echt tot rust te komen. De eigenaar is zeer behulpzaam en reageert vlot. Een kleine opmerking is dat de onverharde weg er iets slechter bij lag dan in oktober 2023.Maar dat zal ons niet weerhouden om terug te keren naar deze bijzondere locatie. JP en Päivi hartelijk dank dat we in jullie huis mochten verblijven.

Schöner geht Alentejo nicht!

Wer den Alentejo liebt, wird dieses Haus lieben. Ja, die Anfahrt über Schotterwege ist etwas abenteuerlich, aber Haus, Lage und Ausstattung entschädigen sofort. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit.

Magnifique maison en pleine campagne

La propriété est magnifique avec tout l'équipement et le confort nécessaire. La piscine est superbe. Nous avons passé une excellente semaine. Dommage que l'accès soit un peu compliqué et que les plus proches commerces soient a une quinzaine de kilometres.

Die Anfahrt ist etwas holprig, aber das Haus entschädigt! Es ist einfach toll: der Pool, die Terrasse, der Blick, die Einrichtung. Es war alles super sauber, toll eingerichtet und perfekt ausgestattet. Und auch der Gastgeber überzeugt: er ist immer ansprechbar und hat sich perfekt um uns gekümmert. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

A quem procura sossego, é o sítio ideal!

Assim que saímos da estrada de alcatrão e entrámos numa estrada de terra e pedra solta, pensámos: " Onde nos viemos enfiar?!" Passados mais de 4km nessas condições, encontrámos Atalaia Nascente....um pequeno paraíso no fim do Mundo 😅🤣 O anfitrião não estava,mas deixou todas as instruções. Encontrámos a casa e todas as outras instalações limpas, arrumadas, completas com todo os utensílios necessários. Uma piscina fabulosa, bem cuidada. Foram 7 dias em que fizemos várias manhãs de caminhadas e tardes passadas na piscina ou a ler no super sofá do alpendre. Conhecemos o James, o jardineiro, pessoa simpática e prestável. Só foi mesmo muito difícil, cada vez que queríamos ir à praia, às compras ou almoçar fora, devido ao acesso precário da casa à estrada de alcatrão.... Outra situação difícil, foi o facto de nenhum de nós ter rede telefónica, nem Vodafone nem NOS...a casa tinha internet em todos os pontos da propriedade, excepto na piscina (o proprietário disse que existia uma NET móvel para a piscina, mas não encontrámos. Não perguntamos por ela, porque tb não precisámos). Nunca saímos à noite, por receio do mau acesso da estrada e sem qualquer iluminação. Mas que for munido de toda a alimentação necessária e pretender descansar e isolar-se dos problemas da vida e do Mundo, é sem dúvida o sítio a escolher! Mesmo com a dificuldade do acesso, adorámos a estadia!

Férias no Paraiso

Excelente propriedade para quem precisa de descansar. A casa dispoe de todas as comodidades como se na nossa casa estivéssemos. Todas as zonas estão muito bem definidas e bem distribuidas.. A piscina é fantástica com uma vista incrível com sol todo o dia. A sala de cinema separada da casa permite usar sem incomodar os restantes elementos. Várias zonas onde se pode conversar, jogar, ler etc O som de fundo é o de passarinhos e a noite de sapos. Recomendo a estadia a todos

Excelente casa com todas as condições necessárias para passar uma semana a desfrutar da natureza e da piscina com amigos. O difícil acesso à casa torna as saídas de carro pouco convidativas. Aconselho em irem abastecidos de todos os mantimentos necessários para evitarem as deslocações ao supermercado. Decoração muito engraçada e a casa dispõem de todas as comodidades. A repetir!
