Cozy Country Cottage Just Minutes From 7-points at Raystown Lake

This cozy country cottage is perfect for a couple or small family looking to relax in the Raystown Lake region. The one-bedroom, three-quarter bath layout offers a comfortable and private retreat, with the added convenience of being located near our other rental for those traveling with extended family.

Guests especially enjoy the peaceful ridge views from the back deck. The deck also provides private access to a spacious backyard—ideal for picnics, campfires, or simply letting kids and furry friends run and play.

The cottage is located just three miles from the Seven Points Recreation Area, where you’ll find access to boating, swimming, fishing, hiking, dining, camping, and biking on the Allegrippis Trails.

While you’ll enjoy a quiet setting just five minutes from the lake, you’re also within easy driving distance of local attractions—seven miles from shopping and dining in Huntingdon, eight miles from Juniata College, thirty-five miles from Altoona, and forty miles from Penn State University.

There is also a second vacation rental located just across the driveway, making this a great option for extended families or groups who want to stay close while enjoying their own space. The neighboring two-bedroom home accommodates up to six guests (VRBO #1028343). Please note that each home is rented separately, so be sure to check availability for both if planning a group stay.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Check-out is no later than 11:00 AM. Please leave the key on the table, clean and put away dishes, and take any garbage to the dumpster.
Please place used bed linens in a clothes basket to minimize our contact. You may leave the comforter(s) on the floor. We have the linens dry-cleaned and sanitized after every use. Safe travels home!

Truly an amazing view from the hillside, if you’re planning a trip to raystown lake you can make it to the closest fishing spot in 10 minutes, the interior felt so relaxing and comfortable i wish i stayed longer. 10/10 do recommend staying here.

The property was an excellent gateway for my wife and I the owner has on hand pretty much everything needed to prepare a fresh warm meal the only thing missing is a set of mixing bowls. It has a nice fire pit out back to do some smores and enjoy the evening watching the stars.

Over thirty years later the opportunity came about to purchase the entire property. We're excited to be able to share with all of you this home that has been near and dear to our family for so many years.

The cottage and the lodge are in close proximity to each other for convenient vacationing with extended family. Together, though, they sit on over seven acres of land, so there is lots of room to roam and play!
