About this property

The Little House (6), Brancaster, Norfolk

The Little House is a beautiful spacious, light and characterful detached property situated on a quiet lane in the coastal village of Brancaster. This lovely flint cottage is close to the heart of the village with its much-loved pub and within easy walking distance of the sandy beach and Royal West Norfolk Golf Course.

The Little House is a delightfully deceptive property, offering laid back relaxed accommodation for six guests over two floors in the main house. With a large open plan kitchen, dining and living area and bi-fold doors opening up onto the pretty east facing garden with charcoal Webber barbecue and outdoor hot water/shower, there is plenty of space to relax inside and out. And with parking for two cars behind wrought iron gates.

From The Little House you can enjoy some spectacular scenic countryside and coastal walks, making it perfect for a short break with friends and family or longer stay. Brancaster and the neighbouring village of Brancaster Staithe is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With its big skies, wide sandy beaches, spectacular sunsets, salty sea air and wildlife it is a very special place. At Brancaster beach you'll find seasonal facilities to buy refreshments and ice-creams, but its also easy to find big empty beaches round here, or simply walk the coastal path or inland to Barrow Common and you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views across tidal marshes. If you're lucky and walk left along the village beach, you may also see the seals in the lagoon between Brancaster and Titchwell, which is also home to the RSPB nature reserve.

This property is also available as a sleeps eight option with the addition of an annexe, listed as The Little House.

Beautiful property but a few things to consider

The property layout, setup & furnishings are lovely & it was a real treat to holiday in the gorgeous property. However the sofas are in need of a good clean, which one would have thought would’ve been done during the lockdown period. In places there’s unfortunately a smell coming from the sofas, not sure what it was but it was unpleasant. When we stripped one of the beds we were surprised to see that the pillows didn’t have protectors on & were extremely stained. The door knob to the ensuite was difficult to open from the outside when the door was closed & the shower controls over the bath could do with some tlc or replacement. The dog barking next door between 5-6am every morning was a shame but you obviously have no control over that. It seems a shame to bring these things to your attention however I guess you want honest feedback. However there’s no taking away that it’s a gorgeous property.

A spacious well equipped place

This was a good place for a winter break in a great location for walks on the beach and across the marshes. The house is really spacious and well equipped although a touch tired in places (like the carpets and sofas downstairs). The local!pubs are within very easy walking distance and serve good food and good beer. Ideal fro a relaxing break
