Dove cottage is a restored and extended Tudor cottage in the heart of Winchcombe. It is refurbished to a high standard with quality, comfortable furnishings, a large inglenook and log burner and original art throughout (the owner is a well known artist, Katharine Dove).
Ideal for two or three couples looking for a cottage with two large double bedrooms (the sitting room sofa bed makes an optional 3rd double bedroom leaving plenty of entertaining space in the living area). All rooms have character and there are two bathrooms upstairs and toilet and sink off the ground floor sitting room.
Also good family accommodation due to the versatility to sleep 2 adults or up to 3 children on the top floor.
The master has a king size bed. The second large bedroom on the top floor, has a zip and link bed. It can be a 6ft double or two 3ft single beds. T

Kate (the artist Katharine Dove) I live in Cheltenham andI spend my time painting, walking my dogs, travelling and playing tennis. My artwork is sold across the world through De Montfort Fine Art the Clarendon galleries. My paintings often feature the Cotswolds and Cornwalls, two places where I'm very much at home.
Why they chose this property
I was keen not just to have a holiday home but also to contribute to the local art community.
Dove cottage provided both a beautiful cottage and also a sitting room that doubles up as an art gallery from time to time. When not let as a holiday cottage it is a gallery for local artists to display their work. We are also hoping it will attract residencies, artists coming from all over the country to paint and display their work in the gallery while staying in the cottage. Different artists will be in the gallery each week working and displaying their art.

The opportunity to stay in a cottage that is not only beautiful but also showcases a unique variety of original art. The whole cottage will from time to time be used as a gallery and so the art on display will be changed regularly. The sitting room has a large inglenook fireplace with log burner.

For other guests the cottage is beautifully and comfortably furnished. The rooms are spacious and everything is on your doorstep - butcher, baker (all the old fashioned high street shops) and many bars and restaurants.
Winchcombe is vibrant small town and the gallery fronts onto the Cotswold Way. All we have to do is open the front door to the gallery and we have lots of interested visitors..
