Located in the heart of Brancaster Staithe, Old Posting is a magnificent Georgian brick and flint character property that was originally the village butcher's shop, then the post office. Now expertly refurbished, this charming hideaway has transformed into a grand, tranquil coastal retreat, situated a mere five minute walk from the bustling staithe, coastal path, shops, tennis courts, and two fabulous pubs.
Instantly impressive, the ground floor has been converted into a wonderful light and airy semi-open plan living environment boasting underfloor heating. A smart, contemporary bespoke kitchen hosting a Range cooker is well-equipped for rustling up appetising feasts made from the plethora of local produce available right on the door step. Opening into the splendid dining area, seating for eight guests is provided by a charming farmhouse table where food, wine and conversation can be shared long into the evening. Originally part of the outside wall prior to the sympathetic extension, the chimney breast that divides this area holds artistic glimpses of flint. A double-sided wood burning stove casts warmth and ambient light across the relaxing L-shaped sitting area. On warmer days, open up the french doors to the south facing garden patio to allow the fresh coastal air to drift through. Conveniently located on this floor, sumptuous bedroom two offers a versatile zip-and-link super-king bed that can be converted into twin beds on request. Served by an en suite shower room, this bedroom is perfect for less mobile guests, or guest who prefer a bit more privacy. Completing this floor, a handy boot room leads to a spacious utility room, and generous shower room with large walk-in shower - perfect for washing off sandy feet and paws.
From the rear hallway, wide, steep and straight stairs with a handrail lead to the first floor where three beautifully curated bedrooms are available. The spacious master bedroom hosts an inviting double bed, and is served by an en suite shower room with walk-in shower. Presented with a delightful exposed brick feature wall, bedroom three also offers a double bed. Twin beds are provided in bedroom four. All bedrooms have been thoughtfully curated using muted colours, with beds dressed in fine quality linens to ensure that guests experience a deep restorative sleep. These rooms are served by a good-sized family bathroom offering bath with hand-held shower. Outside to the back of the property, the large garden features a sunken patio area with ample outdoor seating. With views across the garden, this is an idyllic spot to enjoy dining al fresco when the small barbecue beckons on sunny days. Mostly laid to lawn, supervised children and dogs will love playing here. The village tennis courts are accessible from the top of the garden - don't forget to pack your rackets! Parking for two cars is available on the gravel driveway.
Additional Information: Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). All duvets and pillows are synthetic. A travel cot and high chair available. Please bring your own bedding for the travel cot. Please be aware that the ongoing building works taking place on the neighbouring site.

Great location, property leaves a bit to be desired.
Brancaster Staithe is an excellent location and lived up to expectations.
The house, albeit a beautiful looking property, needs a demo clean and some money spending on maintenance and furnishings

A great location
The Old Posting was brilliantly located with the beaches close by, a great family pub one way and a wonderful dinning pub the other. The house itself was very comfortable and roomy. It was well equipped and clean. The garden was great for the kids too so everyone was happy.

Excellent Family Weekend
Seven family members and two dogs stayed in Old Posting and we all had an amazing time away. We all haven’t been together much in the last two years so made the most of being together in the lovely comfortable property and great location for two great pubs and walks. The property was clean and spacious with a huge dog friendly garden. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Family weekend away
The house was just perfect for location and amenities within for our family catering for three generations of the family along with two dogs and it fitted well. Ample parking and a huge private garden. Two pubs within walking distance and the coastal bus running on the road outside

So very happy with everything- house & location
Such a convenient location for joining the coastal path, for good meals at nearby restaurants & pubs & more inland activities.
Very good space inside the house: elderly or those with restricted movement can occupy downstairs bedroom with en-suite with choice of bed configuration ( twins or super king). L shaped lounge offers great flexibility for tv watching or area for reading/relaxing. The entrance area is superb for sorting out coats & footwear without interfering with living space. Very well planned kitchen/ dining with plenty of crockery & cutlery & extras ( even had large flower vase for my Valentines flowers that I’d brought from home!)
Very snug and warm with underfloor heating in places.
Lovely outdoor space for family use; enclosed for children. Good parking - would take 3 vehicles if required.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The accomodation was beautiful and very comfortable, and provided everything we needed for a long needed catch up with friends.

Lovely location
Perfect location, easy access to the wonderful scenery. Large house with enclosed garden. One of a very small number of holiday houses in the area that offers 3 double bedrooms and 2 dogs! Would expect given the relatively high cost to have basic 'welcome' supplies provided such as milk/ tea coffee, this is pretty standard in our experience.

Stay with couples (x3)
We had a lovely stay at Old Posting and would stay again. Ideally positioned for walks & meals out. The owner was very obliging with honoring a special request when booking which were grateful for. Although the itinerary says there is parking for two cars, if you are not using cars for your stay there is easily room for three. The only things we felt would have been useful were provision of some flute glasses for fizz (only a very small thing) & it would have been useful to have an outside tap for washing of dogs muddy paws when getting back from the walks. One of the guests did also comment that a couple of hooks to hang things may have been useful in the downstairs ensuite. Not that we were there to watch TV all weekend but an extra TV somewhere would be a bonus. Especially when you have got a clash between Strictly & an England football match. Joking asise we look forward to another stay there in the future.

Lovely well renovated old house.
Very quiet and peaceful. The downstairs bedroom was ideal for older guests. Well equipped. Only downside was the entrance from the busy road.

Fantastic Family Holiday
A fantastic house for a family break. This was the first time that we had been away together for years and we wanted it to be perfect, this house didn't disappoint. A lovely house, lovely safe garden and in a great position within walking distance of 2 pubs and local shops. We tried to book again but we were too slow, it had already gone. Highly recommend.

Excellent house in a good location
The house was great for our large family and provided us with plenty of room and comfort.
We really liked the large lounge, where there is an area for watching television and a quieter area near the patio doors.
We also liked the fact that the the kitchen and dining area were also very close in an open plan area just away from the lounge.
The garden was very spacious and secure for our dog and the gate at the bottom of the garden gave us access to the playing field.
Upstairs the bedrooms very all very spacious and had lovely on-suite facilities.
Overall it was a fantastic house for a large family and very close to the amenities of Brancaster Staithe.

Beautiful family home.
This house was fantastic! An absolutely beautiful, well equipped house in an ideal location on the North Norfolk coast. Perfect for a family holiday. Will definitely go back. The only difficulty was making the decision whether to turn left out of the gate and walk to the Jolly Sailor or right and walk to the White Horse! A tough one!!
The property was perfect for what we needed. A group of old friends getting together to eat, drink, walk and catch up. Very well equipped home and great service. Just one note is the one of the plug sockets in the living room is loose and coming off the wall. His should be repaired. We accidentally broke the teapot lid. Dropped and broke on the kitchen stone floor. Sorry. Overall a fabulous time was had by all.

A great weekend
The house had everything we needed and the 8 of us had a lovely weekend. Local pubs and shops all within easy walking distance and all very good.
Unfortunately we put the wrong waste bin out because it wasn’t clear in the information book that we had to check the calendar, but other than that we couldn’t find fault. Would recommend.
