The Forum des Halles is Paris's biggest and least pleasant shopping mall, although a facelift currently underway should improve matters. Extending three levels underground, it incorporates subway stations, multiplex, gym, swimming pool and numerous restaurants, and is truly labyrinthine.
The Louvre Museum or the Seine River are accessible by a 10-15min walk.

The apartment is at the 4th floor of a very well maintained building freshly renovated with a red carpeted stair. It is secured with Digicode.

This 65 square meter unit offers a cozy interior with a wooden floor and exposed beams. Completely furnished and recently refurbished, it can accommodate up to 5 people. The master bedroom has a comfortable double bed with attached shower room and toilette and the living room offers a convertible sofa bed for 2 persons. For a fifth single sponge bed can be added upon request to accommodate 5 people if necessary. There is also a second toilette at the entrance for people sharing the living room.

The Kitchen is very well equipped with quality kitchenware and appliances and the large dining table can accommodate up to 8 people at ease for you to play the best host away from home.

Stay connected with the world through the private high speed internet connection through cable and Wi-Fi and cable TV through a large Flat screen 3D Smart TV.

The closest subway station Châtelet, in Paris center, allows you to reach any parts of the city.

We loved our stay at Chateau les Halles! The stairs were no problem at all and kept us fit during the stay. Perfect location and really appreciated the washing machine to keep the kids clothes clean. We will definitely be back to stay again- thankyou!!!!

A perfect location for us. We especially enjoyed our day on a self-guided tour of the Marais. The apartment was very comfortable...and quiet. We got used to the 100 steps. Indeed, they might have helped us, because we left Paris to walk the Robert Louis Stevenson Trail!

Great central location and views!

Good sized space with everything you need. Several terraces right outside, this place is on the top floor of a beautiful old building. Easy access to everything. The 101 steps are something to be aware of, but offer lovely views and you can fall asleep at night to the pleasant buzz from the terraces far below

Very convenient location right near Les Halles

We had a comfortable stay at Chatelet les Halles. Check-in was with a French-speaker using a translation app which worked fine. As per the listing there's no lift access so be prepared for the stairs - that was fine for our family. We liked the convenience of the area for getting around Paris and for easy access to shops etc. Beds were comfortable with 2 of us sleeping on one double bed in the bedroom and the other two on the sofa bed in the living room. We liked the views over the rooftops.

We are a 60 semiretired couple. The apartment was perfect for us. The location cannot be better. We mostly walked everywhere (20k steps daily) but used public transportation when needed. The last 100 steps were the hardest: up to the apartment. Be prepared. But if you are in shape, it should not stop you. The accomodations are a rear find. All other apartments that were available were much smaller. Full kitchen. Two bathrooms. Cannot be better. We enjoyed a very vibrant neighborhood with great options to eat and entertainment. Walk to the river and you can see all the major attractions from the bridges. We will be back!

Perfect stay in Paris

This Vrbo was spacious, well supplied with cooking gear, and an incredible location! The location was very central, and right next to the metro. The lighting was good and high ceilings made the place feel open. It was the perfect place for my friends and I on our visit to Paris😁

Central apartment

Great location for bars, restaurants and shopping centre with metro. Multiple flights of steep stairs, which is ok for adults but not for anyone with mobility issues. Note the air conditioner is a portable unit requiring window to be left open during operation. Overall okay apartment in fantastic location.

Central location with plenty of room and a great cross breeze

I used to stay exclusively on the left bank but the last two years I’ve stayed near Les Halles and it really is the most central location. There are plenty of metro possibilities and the neighborhood is quite lively. The apartment was also the largest we’ve ever had as a family of four and it was nice to have a second toilet. There were also plenty of windows for cross ventilation. The only drawback might be that it’s on the 4th floor without an elevator which could be a challenge for some.

Mouse infestation

The property was just as listed and in a very convenient location but unfortunately we had a problem with mice. The owner was difficult to contact to remedy the issue and we finally had to have VRBO intervene. The owner sent his cleaning lady and then a young man who took a small can of foam that was sprayed in the corner of the bathroom. No exterminator was ever sent No traps were ever put out to catch mice. No follow up was ever done by the management. We were left dealing with mice night after night until we left. I am certain that the next renter will have the very same problem. It was a horrible experience.

This property was wonderful for our family of four. We didn't mind the 100 stairs. The foldout bed was comfortable for our two children. The kitchen was equipped with an appropriate number of bowls and dishes, and there was a whole box of espresso containers that fit the espresso machine, which helped me wake up in the mornings from our jetlag.Warning to those arriving by taxi: this place is in a pedestrian zone so don't write the exact address. Instead write the St. Etienne metro station, which is one minute walk away. We made this mistake, so our taxi driver's mapping system was completely confused and we drove around for an extra 20 minutes until I just forced him to stop so that we could walk.Minor complaint: the check-in process was inefficient. The well-intentioned lady had lots of keys, forms, and advisory messages, searching for the internet box... she was very helpful but we had to wait 30 minutes, and then the check-in process took 20 minutes. All of this could be eliminated with key-lock access and an information packet on the table. Overall, 5 stars from us! Lovely place to stay.

Great location for metro access, restaurants, attractions

Well-equipped, spacious lodging on the top floor of a building in the Les Halles area. 2 minute walk from the Étienne Marcel metro in one direction and about 4 minutes from the Les Halles metro and shopping complex in the other. Just a couple blocks from Bo & Mie Patisserie/Boulangerie and about a minute walk from Le Petit Bouillon Pharamond, our favorite. Every other kind of restaurant/bar and shopping surrounds the accommodation.The sweltering 80–90 Paris weather was made bearable by a portable air conditioning unit and an additional fan.The entrance door was a bit offputting, situated tightly between two bars/restaurants, and there was renovation work going on within other units in the building, which created lots of dust along the staircase, but there is new carpeting on the stairs and the top floor where we stayed was clean and cool with the windows open.The check-in procedure and communication with Orlande was always quick and efficient, and we could reach her via WhatsApp if we needed anything.There were two toilets but only a sink and shower in one of the two toilet rooms. There was only one mirror, which was located over the sink in the main bathroom. A second wall mirror and sink in the second toilet room would have been nice, since there were four of us getting dressed at the same time. There was a small, round, portable mirror with magnification on one side, which came in handy.I recommend this VRBO.

Perfect location, great apartment

Highly recommend this vrbo! The location was perfect, bars and restaurants and shops surrounding us, close to many metro stations made travel super easy. Keep in mind, it is 100 steps up to the apartment, but you get used to it! Great place and host was very helpful.

L’appartamento è in una posizione strategica. Lo consiglio a coppie giovani che hanno voglia di vivere la vita Parigina, che non hanno problemi a fare 100 gradini per arrivare alla porta di casa. La posizione dell’appartamento è centralissima ed è molto vicina alla stazione di las Halles che ti permette di raggiungere l’aeroporto o qualsiasi altro luogo di interesse storico culturale in pochi minuti.

The department was spacious and as advertised. It is in a great location next to Metro, RER. The only thing to mentioning is that there are about 100 steps to climb to get up to the apartment. Many sites within walking distance.

Beautiful space, but difficult to access.

There was no Wifi and they could not get a Tech to fix the issue. We had to buy additional Wifi data which we was an extra cost that we did not anticipate. Has VRBO inspected this property for safety? It does not say on the description that there are 100 steps to climb to access the apartment. It is great that there is security, having to go through 3 locked doors starting with the entrance. The interior passage doors, one on the main level and one near the top level, have no levers to turn, only a lock. At times, the lights were off and we were in the dark trying to unlock the doors and going up uneven steps. There are no emergency lights over the flights of stairs. If a fire ever occurs in this building, the occupants of this top floor apartment may be in danger. This building is heritage, but it does not meet minimum safety codes that I am used to. The apartment is beautiful, clean, renovated, comfortable... But accessing the 100 steps and the difficulty in opening multiple door locks before the apartment door may not be ideal for everyone.
