Great location, very clean, comfortable bed, some noise at night, Annie was very friendly and helpful, shower was good, but very narrow where the head comes out of the wall, although the listing outlined the four flights of stairs it was challenging for us in our 70’s and in good shape, bed was very comfortable, closet was great, large and easy access, nice treats as a welcome, kitchen was good and the espresso machine was super, really on the fence if I would rent again due only to the stairs

Location! Location! Location! We were in the heart of Saint-Germain des Pres, minutes from Musee D’Orsay, The Louvre, Tuileries, Notre Dane, Jazz clubs across the Seine, and so much more. Plus the metro was right around the corner. In the apt were guide books including a notebook with suggested excellent neighborhood restaurants all very close by. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. Nespresso machine and pods were welcome touch and we easily bought more pods nearby. Somehow we missed that this was a fourth floor walk-up so for a couple in our 70s, it was a workout that we quickly adjusted to. :) . To make it so much more pleasant, Annie brought our bags up and down for us - so no complaints. Oh, and we loved the combo washer-dryer! Being able to do laundry was a big plus. If you’re looking for an apartment incredibly conveniently located, this is for you. We spent a week here and saw lots by foot and lots via the metro.

What impressed us the most about this apartment was its location. It is within walking distance to many iconic sites in Paris…Jardin du Luxembourg , Eiffel Tower, Norte Dame, Musée D’Orsay, the Seine, many sites on the right bank, etc etc. There are two metro stations only a 5 minute walk away for sites further afield. There are numerous restaurants both obscure and familiar, French and more exotic ( Japanese,Korean, etc). There is tons of shopping including art galleries, clothing boutiques and of course a few grocery stores and boulangeries. The list can go on with many cathedrals worth visiting as well as museums. The apartment it self is cozy with an equipped but small kitchen that is against the wall in the hallway which leads to the front door and the toilet portion of the bathroom. The separate bathroom is just that a bath/tub and sink. It is off of the bedroom which also includes a table and two chairs for dining. Regarding opinion of comfort and agreeability, the apartment could use better lighting, the bathroom needs a step ladder or hand rail for getting into the tub as it is quite high off the floor and lastly the chairs at the dining table could be more comfortable. Annie the proprietor is friendly, available and ready to please. We enjoyed our stay here.

This apartment was not as it was presented on the listing. Nowhere on the listing did it say that it was on the 4th floor. I had a condition that made climbing stairs extremely difficult and would not have chosen this had I known. There were insufficient instructions as to how to use the combo washer/dryer. It also seemed that someone lived there as there were drawers filled with personal items.

You Will Love It

The apartment was everything I had hoped for. The location is perfect. The neighborhood is safe, beautiful, and although it looks expensive, I found even the nicest places I ate at were affordable. Annie, the hostess, is more than willing to help with anything you need. She is a charming and proud French woman who sincerely wants you to Paris!

Excellent location in the artsy area of Paris

This was an excellent and safe property in sentimental play. You can get to really wonderful restaurants, shops and museums easily. Annie was very helpful and friendly.

We had a wonderful five night stay in this charming apartment that had a large comfortable bed and efficiency kitchen. Nice bathroom with shower and sink; a second one with sink and commode. The shower/tub combo is great for baths and a little narrow as showers go but perfectly functional.The apartment was very clean and well cared for. Annie was super helpful, providing nice recommendations for food in writing and for touring when we asked. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone or any couple as long as they were good with stairs. Annie was very helpful though with the stairs on arrival—she got our luggage up, and we didn’t accept the offer to bring our luggage down at the end of our stay because we didn’t have a lot to carry. In any case, I would gladly stay again because of the location, the homey feel of the apartment, and Annie’s hospitality.

The location was perfect for our requirements, Annie was a fantastic host, she couldn’t have been nicer and or more helpful. We were unaware there was 4 flights of steps and although this is probably not an issue for most people at times it stopped us coming and going more often.

Beware if you are candid with this host about her property and listing, especially the treacherous stairs! Ask for photos and video before booking. 1500 characters cannot cover the issues. (READ FULL REVIEW IN PHOTOS)•The stairwell is unsafe, poorly lit and dirty--Victorian era Death Stairs. The host discloses 80 steps but fails to mention the stairwell is a narrow,1800s servant's stairwell. It is not the building's main stairwell. -The treads are very shallow and slippery. Near the rail you cannot fit your full foot. I was barely able to angle my full 6.5/37 shoe on the outside tread edge. -The steep risers are an uneven height. I caught the sole of my shoe a few times when I misjudged the height going down. -A few of the treads are loose and move if you hit the wrong spot.•Avoid if you are tall, broad or heavy. The shower head area is about a foot wide. If you are tall, even the tub will be difficult to use without hitting your head because of the angled roof. •Avoid if you don't want to be fraudulently assessed charges for damages. Beware the host does not provide a check in sheet, so you better photograph or video everything. •Avoid if your suitcases are not airline overhead bin size and you have more than one bag per person, or the host will complain. •Avoid if your flight leaves before 10 in the morning, or your bags are left at the bottom of the servant’s stairwell, essentially outside, and out of your security. A superb location with every comfort

My partner and I spent a week at Annie's lovely studio apartment, two blocks from the Seine, and in the heart of historic St Germain. Super cozy and comfortable, the studio is also spotlessly clean with great functionality and a charming atmosphere. Even the four flights up added to the ambience and allowed us to walk off those morning croissants. Annie was immediately responsive to every question and need. We will be recommending this charming and well priced locale to all of our friends and family. Merci millefois, Annie, for the week of our dreams!

Great stay!

Thanks to Annie for a great stay in Paris! The flat is in a spectacular location in the heart of St Germain. Annie is an excellent host, very helpful and friendly. The flat is exactly as advertised, with a small but entirely serviceable kitchenette and split bathroom. The shower is very new and works great, but might be a tight squeeze if you are tall. My only reservation about this location is that you must have the fitness for four flights of stairs, which are daunting at the end of a long day of sightseeing (and a deterrent to popping out in the morning for fresh croissants). Annie will bring the bags up/down in the secret elevator, thank goodness. One special shoutout to the housekeeper, who helped us get a taxi upon our departure—merci a vous.

Wonderful stay in Paris

My husband and I had a wonderful stay in Paris at Annie’s place. She was so welcoming and friendly. She took our bags up and down her elevator, so we wouldn’t have to lug them up and down 4 flights of stairs. Her place was very clean and had a great closet to keep all of our clothes and our suitcases out of the way. Best of all the location of her place is perfect! It is in such a great area with great cafes and restaurants and shopping. Lots of art galleries as well. We walked everywhere, but the metro station is very close if you need it. Super close to the Seine and Louvre, as well as other museums and beautiful gardens. We had a wonderful stay and Annie gave us great recommendations of places to eat and visit. We had the chance to get to know Annie a little more at coffee near the end of our trip and that was just wonderful! Can’t wait to be able to visit again! I would definitely recommend!

Great studio apartment in an excellent location

We stayed a week at this property in June 2022, and found it a perfect base for exploring Paris. We arrived in a heat wave and the lift was out of service, but the host’s daughter was wonderful and helped carry our bags up the stairs! The apartment was bright and fresh, and very comfortable for us as a couple, and we were provided with a fan which helped greatly in the very warm weather we experienced. Most of all, the property is in a magnificent location, so close to everything - a very short walk to the Seine, Luxembourg Gardens, Musee D’Orsay, Isle de la Cite etc, and so many great bars, cafés and restaurants within just a few blocks. We particularly enjoyed our night out at jazz club Chez Papa, just around the corner. Annie was a charming host and I really enjoyed practicing my rudimentary French with her! A really nice place to stay.

Beyond Perfect - 5 Stars Aren't High Enough

My first trip to Paris was trés magnifique. This apartment and Annie played a massive part in enjoying every minute I spent in Paris. First, as the other reviews have stated, the apartment is centrally located to EVERYTHING. Walk to museums, including The Louver, Musée d'Orsay, Notre Dame, and many more. There are also many restaurants and shopping options that step away in any direction. The Saint Germain des Pre metro station is 3 minutes (or less) from the apartment. So getting to other parts of Paris is super easy. ANNIE IS AMAZING! Not only is she very responsive, but she also has a super sweet personality. From making recommendations to helping me reserve a taxi to the airport upon my return, Annie did everything possible to ensure my visit was enjoyable. I miss you already, Annie, and I hope our paths cross again.

This is a lovely apartment in a great location. It has been well cared for so it's in good condition. The location is excellent: within two blocks of the metro and less than a block of several nice cafes and restaurants. Easily walkable to Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the d'Orsay museum as well as restaurants and shops in the Latin Quarter. The apartment faces the courtyard rather than the street so it's quiet. The host was very amiable and communicative, yet respected our privacy. We appreciated simple amenities, such as washer and dish detergent. Her communication both in advance and during the visit was excellent. The only potential downsides to the property are the stairs, lack of air conditioning, and dryer of the clothes wash/dryer machine. The stairs were a good workout and not a problem for us, but might pose a problem for guests with mobility issues. The weather was warm during our visit and the windows provided comfortable ventilation most days, but on particularly warm days a fan might be desirable (though, to be fair, we never asked for one). We've found that the dryer feature of wash/dryer combination machines do not work very well, and this one was no exception. It took a couple of hours and draping clothes on a drying rack (provided by the host) to dry clothes. Not a huge deal for us, but might be for guests with lots of clothes to wash/dry. Overall, we highly recommend this property and were quite pleased with our stay. We would stay here again, for sure!

This was probably the most comfortable studio I've ever stayed in Paris. The water was hot, the walk in closet let me put all my luggage and clothes out of sight, I could cook and do laundry, and it had a shower/tub combo. It is 4 flights of stairs, but this is Paris, and Annie taking the luggage upstairs and down via a separate elevator was much appt. I have had to drag luggage up stairs before at other places, and was very glad she was able to do that at check in and check out. Also Annie was lovely, helpful and very responsive. I was extremely satisfied with my stay here. And the location was very central!

Perfect!

Where do I begin? My time in this apartment was wonderful, starting with the reservation process. Annie was kind and responsive and readily answered any questions I had before arrival. She greeted me warmly, brought my baggage to the unit, and was available and helpful throughout my stay. The studio itself, with its book-lined shelves, is fantastic. There is a well-equipped kitchenette in which I wish I’d done some cooking, but I had too much to do and see every day! The sitting area is very comfortable- it was a nice place to get ready while enjoying my coffee, which Annie kindly provided. There is a great deal of natural light, and the occasional sound of bells was quite beautiful. It was extremely hot in Paris during my stay but that was not a problem as there is a very powerful tower fan that cooled down the room very effectively. The bed was extremely comfortable after hours of exploring the city. Also, the walk-in closet offered a great deal of storage space. There are even umbrellas in case it rains- a very nice touch. As others have noted, the location cannot be beaten. The Seine, métro, and several useful bus routes are all quite close. I always find it difficult to leave Paris, but this time it was especially so because of how much I loved this spot! I really hope to return there someday. Merci beaucoup, Annie!

Gem in St Germain

This property is ideally located in the sixth arrondissent St Germain. Annie is very helpful during check-in and check-out with luggage. she is available immediately anytime we needed anything. It is on a walk up, but that makes it very quiet. The bed is large for Europe and so is the closet. She provided Nespresso pods for coffee and everything was spotless.

Wonderful accommodations in an amazing location

My daughter and I spent a wonderful 5 nights in this charming apartment. The host, Annie, is a delight and made our stay so pleasant! The apartment is on the 4th floor, but Annie helped us by bringing our luggage by elevator at both our arrival and departure. The apartment is so comfortable and had everything we could have needed during our stay. Lastly, I can't say enough good things about the location of this apartment. We loved the neighborhood, and you are within easy walking distance of so many attractions! Also there are several Metro stations close by. If I return to Paris I will absolutely hope to stay here again! Merci, Annie!

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment is exactly as described - comfortable, with everything you need to launch your Paris adventure. We spent most of our time exploring the city from this ideal location to then come home in the evening to a comfortable bed, kitchenette, and a quiet place to relax. Annie was communicative, accommodating and loaded with suggestions. It was especially helpful to have assistance with our luggage upon arrival and departure. Thank you Annie!
