About this property
Trinity Cottage, YORK
Trinity Cottage is a new development behind our recently renovated Georgian Town house in the centre of York, built and owned by York Conservation Trust. Accessed from Trinity Lane off Micklegate and set in a small courtyard, the cottage provides secluded quiet accommodation in the centre of this vibrant city.
The Cottage is accessed from Trinity Lane using a secure coded gate, then across a small courtyard. There is a small private outside seating area accessed from a spacious kitchen diner. The main entrance leads into a hallway with the kitchen/diner, small downstairs toilet and living room. Upstairs there are two spacious bedrooms - the main bedroom with a Super Kingsize bed, and the second bedroom with a twin + a day bed set up as a 3rd single, or used for seating. There is also the family bathroom with shower over a large bath.
Fitted out to good standard and thoughtfully furnished to provide a wonderful comfortable living space.
Micklegate is a lively street with award winning restaurants and bistros - within the city walls and only 5 minutes walk from the train station, and 5 minutes walk from the centre of this beautiful little city.
Facilities:
Two bedrooms; one with a superking (wardrobe and chest of drawers), and the other with 3 singles (chest of drawers and a hanging rail)
Family bathroom with a shower over the bath, toilet and wash basin
Living room with seating for 5 - flat screen TV with broadband link - free wifi provided
Well fitted kitchen that includes; full sized fridge-freezer, washer/dryer, electric oven and hob, kettle, toaster and microwave, plus a large round dining table to seat 5
Access from the kitchen to a small private yard with outside seating
Downstairs wc/cloakroom
Please note, there is parking available to book for this property in the courtyard, which is charged at £10 per night - please confirm if you require parking with your booking.
Pets - allowed
Directions to 71 Micklegate
The best way into York for Micklegate is to stay on the A64 from the A1, and follow the signs for York Race Course, which is signposted off the A64 as York A1036. This will take you straight into York past the Race Course (which will be on your right), keep going until you see the city walls in front of you, the gate you see at the junction is Micklegate Bar (the gateways are called bars Viking word for gate) go straight through and about 150m on your right you will see Trinity Lane, and just after this is our office and #71 Micklegate.
PARKING
There is no parking with the apartments on Micklegate, you can park outside on a meter which is 40p for ½ hr, which will be ok for dropping any luggage off, but we would recommend using either the Nunnery Lane carpark (just outside the walls and to the right of Micklegate Bar as you look at it driving into the city), or the long stay carpark at the train station, which is just the other side of this, both of them a just few minutes walk away from the apartment.
If our office is open you will be able to check in with us, if not, your keys will be in the keybox at the back of the building. Walk down Trinity Lane, and about 20m on your left is a set of wooden double gates with a pedestrian gate on the left hand side. Enter the code 2058z and go through this gate, through the courtyard. You will see the Cottage in front of you - there is a small private courtyard to the left of the Cottage through the wooden gate - this is where the keybox is located next to the back door.
KEY INSTRUCTIONS
Your set of keys will have two keys; one for the front and back door of the Cottage.
Please ensure you keep the back gate closed and the front and back doors of the Cottage locked.
