About this property
Greave Farm Todmorden Tranquil Cottage Retreat
(If you want to get away from it all, and go into isolation away from the masses then this is perfect location situated near to the end of a log farm track).
Greave farm house is a remote beautiful little characterful three bedroom cottage sat right on the edge of the West Pennine hills.
This is quite literal, as from opening the front door and walking 70'ft straight ahead, and you are on the old Roman road, called London road,
which runs from Hebden Bridge to the village of Mankinholes where there are two lovely gastro type pubs, "The Top Brink" and "The Shepard's Rest" and can be accessed on bike or on foot within 10 to 15 mins with a gentle walk from Greave Farm.
As a result of this we are a dog friendly property with the whole of the West Pennine moors just out from the door step.
The cottage its self is a real quirky little old building which has been in our family for over 50 years.
my grandmother acquired Greave farm house in 1963 as a derelict shell and kept her rescued donkeys in it of a number of years as she also owned the higher Greave farm house next door.
We allow 1 dog per booking unless otherwise arranged before booking, £20 per dog.
The beds are made up of two doubles and two singles unless otherwise arranged.
**please only follow your 'sat nav' once you have got to Todmorden town centre, (ie the round about next to the town hall) especially if you are arriving via Hebden Bridge direction, as there are a few ways to get to the cottage but this is the only one that works if you want to arrive in your car..**
Hebden Bridge is a small town, in the Calderdale valley. The Rochdale canal runs through the town, and on to Todmorden which is a great way of enjoying the excellent walking on offer, and another way to access
the Pennine Way in various different spots along the towpath.
Haworth, is about 30 mins drive away famed for its associations with the literary Bronte sisters and home to the Worth Valley steam railway.
I also suggest a trip to the historic town of Skipton, for some excellent shopping and is also the Gateway to the Dales.
Or the excellent Eureka Museum in Halifax, if you have little people to entertain..
PLEASE COULD YOU CONTACT US VIA TELEPHONE OR TXT,, between 9am to 8pm
TWO or THREE DAYS BEFORE ARRIVING TO ARRANGE KEY COLLECTION AND BED ARRANGEMENT'S IF DIFFERENT FROM ABOVE..
