No car needed! This two bedroom two bath condo has been a favorite of VRBO vacationers since 2014 due to it's coveted location in The Beach Colony area of Del Mar. You will be right across the street from some of the most beautiful beaches in California! Also in walking distance are restaurants, shopping, and the famous Del Mar Racetrack and Fairgrounds, home to America's finest Thoroughbred horse racing, KABOO music festival, and the San Diego County Fair. Relax on the beach or enjoy the excitement of these many cultural events happening nearby. This luxurious seaside community has it all and is very family-friendly. You will have a fun, relaxing and memorable vacation stay here.

Newly redecorated, this Bohemian-chic beach condo is comfortably furnished with a queen bed, private bath and wall mounted TV in Master bedroom. Two twin beds and a spacious closet are in the second bedroom. Ideal for families with one or two children, with room for one additional cot or crib. The living room and kitchen are bright and open for relaxing and interacting at mealtimes. Do as much (or as little!) cooking as you like in the fully equipped kitchen. There is WIFI, a washer/dryer and 1 assigned parking space. Towels, beach chairs and umbrellas are for your use. The condo also has a shared outdoor shower for rinsing off sandy feet before going inside. Please, no smoking and no pets. No outside overnight guests. Please be respectful of the condo and the neighborhood. Quiet time starts at 10pm. Check in time is 3pm and check out is 10am. We look forward to meeting you!

Great location!

We had another great stay at this property! My family and I enjoyed being so close to the beach and everything Del Mar/Solana Beach has to offer. There was penalty of space for our family of 5 and the kitchen was well equipped to stay in and cook. The designated parking spot was too small for our minivan but we had no problems parking on the street directly in front of the condo.

Perfect location. We were in Del Mar for Lacrosse tournament. We were 10 mins from field and close to food, restaurants and the beach.

Watch the heat!

It was so nice to be just a few blocks from the beach. But the condo (along with just about every other house in California) did not have air conditioning. Even though fans were provided, it did not prevent us from being uncomfortable while indoors. So, when the temps are lower, this problem will become null and void. Lastly, even though the condo sleeps four, there are only two coffee mugs in the kitchen. Perhaps an earlier guest borrowed the other two or took them as a gift to themselves!

Perfect place for a beach vacation

My daughter and I were able to snag this condo for a last minute beach vacation. I had been looking at hotels and this place was the same price or even less than most places. It was perfect for the two of us. It would be comfortable for a family of four since there is a queen and two twins. The kitchen was well stocked and even had some basic food items: condiments, coffee, butter. Perhaps leftovers from previous guests? The one missing kitchen item was dishwasher detergent - glad I brought my own. As the owner states, there is no ice maker. But there were 2 bags plus 2 ice cube trays. I brought my own trays just in case so I'd have enough ice for my cooler for the drive home. Having a kitchen saved us so much $$ since we didn't have to go out to eat. The assigned parking space is super tiny/narrow, so I didn't even try to park there. The owner said she's done it before with an SUV with mirrors pulled in. It wasn't a big deal for us since it was easier/closer to park right out front along the street. The unit is ground floor - no stairs or elevator to deal with. Now the fun part: the beach! It is only a short block and a half from the beach. The front closet contains some chairs, an umbrella, and some boogie boards. My daughter spent hours in the water with a boogie board. (I eventually caved and bought her a wetsuit at the place in town so she wouldn't freeze!) Tip: you'll notice all the locals set up back by the wall. Good idea since the tide comes up pretty far. If you set up closer to the water, be prepared to move back as the tide comes in. I would definitely stay here again on a future trip to San Diego.

2 walking minutes to beach!

We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend. It was as advertised. It is close to beach. Amber was very easy to communicate with. Pros: Close to beach. Stocked kitchen. Beach gear: chairs, umbrella, boogie board,... 2 bed with 2 bath Laundry in condo Didn't need to take keys to beach, just use code Apple TV Quiet neighborhood and complex Spot to park or can park in front if available Cons: No air conditioning, but there were 2 fans to use Front room sheers are see through so anyone outside can see in If you like it dark when sleeping, bring a eye mask No cable, so no Hallmark channel 😓 Overall it was a great experience. My 5 year old loved being so close to beach. We could go to beach and come right back to condo for lunch or potty break. Amber was great to work with. I would recommend this to others.

Great location, you can walk to the beach in 2 mins. Condo is lower floor and easy access. Nice to have the additional bath. We found most units that we have rented in the past only have one bathroom. Very clean unit with beach towels and all you need for your stay. Keep the toys/chairs at home . Only one small issue (Apple TV) during our stay, and Amber was very attentive and helped us immeadiately. Amber was also very quick to return deposit. I have had to remind other owners in the past. One small negative is a very tight parking spot, but it is workable w the SUV. We will stay here again. thanks, Amber!

Great location!

The location of this condo was perfect for my family. A very short walk to a very un- crowded beach. And very easy to get on or off the 5 free way. This is a great condo for a small family that wants to be super close to the beach with out the party atmosphere of Pacific Beach. While being a little on the older side, the condo it self was very clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. It had a very homey, relaxed feel. This was my first time using VRBO, and I was some what skeptical, but it turned out to be a great experience. Amber was very easy to work with. She was kind enough to make a small adjustment to my check in/out dates to accommodate a family need that arose, and she left some freshly washed beach towels drying in the dryer; witch prompted us to grab them and go right to the beach before we even un packed! We made some good family memories, and I would definitely stay there again.
